It has been a disappointing season of the Indian Premier League 2020 for the three-time champions, Chennai Super Kings who, for the first time on the verge of not qualifying for the playoffs in 13 years. A massive 10-wickets defeat by Mumbai Indians made sure CSK's IPL 2020 season become bad to worst.## Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captain of one of the most successful franchises, CSK stressed out again on the process but said that the players as a team haven't played to their "potential" this season. Actor R Madhavan has hailed the action of detainment of the 16-year-old boy in Gujarat, for allegedly issuing a rape threat against cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni's minor daughter last week.## The teenager issued the threat after Dhoni's team Chennai Super Kings lost a match to Kolkata Knight Riders in an IPL match last week. After this incident, many people had expressed concern and now, the boy was detained on Sunday from Kutch district, Gujrat. ## "Teenager Detained For Issuing Threats Against MS Dhoni's Daughter: Police Great job. After the initial setback, the three-times champions Chennai Super Kings is back on track with a dominating 10-wickets win over Kings XI Punjab on Sunday. It is only the second win for CSK in 5 matches which came after chasing down a big total of 179 without putting much effort. ## Shane Watson, who had not been able to show anything special with the bat before this match, scored an unbeaten 83-run knock on 53 balls while regaining his old form. However, it was Faf du Plessis, who has been a stand out performer for CSK so far in this year's IPL, played an unbeaten knock of 87 runs off 53 balls and added 181 runs with Watson for the first wicket which is highest ever partnership for CSK in the history of the Indian Premier League. ## Du Plessis, however, has credited skipper MS Dhoni and head coach, Stephen Fleming for showing faith in the players and sticking with the same team despite some of the players were not performing well. Plessis called it a CSK way that doesn't make quick changes even after losing a few games. ## "I thought in the previous game we were good with the ball, but we didn't bat well", du Plessis said during the post-match presentation. "Today Watto was a big plus for us. A lot of guys haven't played cricket, so you hope that you strike form immediately. But when that doesn't happen, it does take a bit of time. Hopefully, our guys find their best form over the next 3-4 games".## "Credit to MS Dhoni and Stephen Fleming for sticking with the side. It is a Chennai way to stick with the players more than other teams might even when others feel like making changes. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is very much willing to host a farewell match for the former India captain and two-time world cup winner Mahendra Singh Dhoni, according to a senior board official.## MS Dhoni has announced his retirement on the evening of Independence Day of India (August) and put an end to his glorious 16-years of an international career. Dhoni who has a habit of keeping himself away from the limelight announced his retirement via an Instagram post and video. ## Over the 16-years of career, Dhoni has achieved a lot as a captain and as a player. A minutes after former India captain and two-time world cup winner, MS Dhoni retired from International cricket, Suresh Raina has joined him to bid goodbye to the International cricket. The CSK allrounder, like his captain, made it official in an Instagram post.## "It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781. With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. He was the first Indian to score a century in T20Is. In this format, he scored 5 half-centuries along with a lone hundred. ## Raina also represented India in the longest format as well in which he played 18 matches and scored 768 runs.
