Box Office: Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa - The Rise' Set For The Biggest Opening During Covid-19 Pandemic
Hyderabad, December 17 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's first Pan-India release, "Pushpa - The Rise" is all set to become the biggest box office grosser during the covid-19 pandemic in India. Released over 3000 screens, "Pushpa" netted an estimated Rs. 55 crore gross on the first day (Friday) for all languages. ## Directed by Sukumar, "Pushpa - The Rise" crossed Pawan Kalyan's Telugu hit "Vakeel Saab's" Rs. 46.50 crores. It also becomes the first Indian film to gross over Rs. 50 crores during the health crisis on the first day. Though the large share of 1st day's collection came through the Telugu version, the Hindi and Tamil versions contributed an estimated Rs. 5-7 crore gross. The Kannada and Malayalam versions couldn't release due to some issues. ## "Pushpa - The Rise", for the Hindi version, grossed an estimated Rs. 2.40 crores despite the limited release due to the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and other Hindi releases. As compared to the other Hindi dubbed releases, "Pushpa" currently stands (according to early estimates) at number three after "Baahubali - The Beginning" (6.50 crores), and "KGF" (2.65 crores). ## Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, and Muttamsetty Media, "Pushpa - The Rise" was one of the biggest releases of the year in India, and it totally lived up to the expectations. The movie opened to rave reviews from every part of the country with appreciation towards Allu Arjun's performance. ## "Pushpa" is a two-part release and the 2nd part, titled "Pushpa - The Rule", will release in summer 2022. It stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead alongside Fahadh Faasil (in Telugu debut), Dhananjay, Rao Ramesh, Sunil Varma, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in prominent roles. ## Stay tuned...
