Vikrant Massey's '12th Fail' Becomes The Top-Rated Indian Movie On IMDb
Mumbai, January 2 - The word-of-mouth sensation of 2023, 12th Fail, written and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, has become the top-rated Indian film on IMDb. ## Starring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankar, the biographical drama was an unexpected box office hit of 2023, grossing approx. 67 crores worldwide, following highly positive word of mouth. The film was recently made available on Disney+Hotstar which further helped it to generate nationwide talks. ## As per the latest rankings of IMDb's Top 250 most-rated Indian films, "12th Fail" tops the chart by beating "Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama" which was the top-rated Indian film until last year. Kamal Haasan's "Nayakan" is the third on the list after slipping one spot.## "12th Fail" is based on the 2019 eponymous non-fiction book by Anurag Pathak about the real-life story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame extreme poverty to become an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer.
