Superstar Shah Rukh Khan Emerges Winner of The 2023 TIME100 Reader Poll

Mumbai, April 7 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has emerged as the winner of the 2023 TIME100 poll, in which readers voted for the individuals they felt most deserved a spot on TIME's annual list of the most influential people. ## Shah Rukh Khan earned 4% of the vote after more than 1.2 million votes were cast. The superstar was competing with some of the most influential people in the world such as actor Michelle Yeoh, athlete Serena Williams, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and Argentian footballer Lionel Messi. ## Having done more than 100 films, Shah Rukh Khan is top of the game at the moment after the historic blockbuster success of Yash Raj Films' "Pathaan" which was released in January this year and grossed over 1050 crores worldwide. He is also a film producer and co-owner of the Knight Riders Group cricket teams.## On the work front, SRK will next be seen in director Atlee's Pan India movie "Jawan" which is scheduled to release on June 2 this year. California, January 11 - The 80th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced on January 10 at the Beverly Hilton. Los Angeles, December 25 - The former US president, Barack Obama has shared the list of the films along with the music and books he liked in 2022 and there are a number of titles that made headlines this year. ## Obama shared the list of his favorite movies of the year and the movie which topped his list is Steve Spielberg's coming-of-age drama The Fabelmans. Viola Davis' war epic The Woman King to Tom Cruise's epic sequel Top Gun: Maverick to Michelle Yeoh's just being epic in Everything Everywhere All At Once also made to his favorite movie list of 2022. ## He also really enjoyed Cate Blanchette's tour de force in Tar, along with Till, and the documentary Descendant, which he and Michelle produced through their Higher Ground company. Coming as a sequel to the highest-grossing film of all time at the box office, the expectations are no less from "Avatar 2". ## The budget of "Avatar 2" is approx. $250 million which is almost similar to the first "Avatar" movie, released in 2009. Mumbai, September 1 - One of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters of the year, Everything Everywhere All at Once, starring Michelle Yeoh is finally coming to the Indian theaters. The absurdist comedy-drama is the highest-grossing film for A24 studio with over $100 million worldwide against the budget of $25 million. ## Ever since the film was released in March of this year, the fans in India have been enquiring about its release in the country. And now, the Mumbai-based Impact Films is bringing this film to the Indian audiences and has set September 16, 2022, release date. ## Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, "Everything Everywhere All at Once" received some high praise from critics and it is one of the serious contenders for the next year's Academy Awards. ## "The film has been passed by CBFC without any cuts thereby ending the reservations and curiosity of several audiences who were worried as to what might get chopped off. Los Angeles, August 1 - A24 Studios' absurdist black comedy-drama film Everything Everywhere All at Once has topped a major milestone at the worldwide box office. The film has crossed the $100 million mark globally, becoming the first ever film for the studio to reach the mark, as per Variety.## Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert "Everything Everywhere All at Once" was released in March this year and went on the become a sleeper hit at the box office. The multiverse adventure was re-expended at the USA theaters this past weekend from 170 to approx. 1500 theaters and this helped the movie to achieve the milestone of $100 million worldwide. ## So far, "Everything Everywhere All at Once" has generated $69 million in the United States and another $31 million internationally, putting its global tally at $100 million. 'Avatar: The Way of Water' Set To Be Over 3 Hours Long

Los Angeles, July 5 - There is a huge curiosity and excitement among audiences worldwide about James Cameron's "Avatar: The Way of Water", and why not, after all, it is the successor of the world's highest-grossing film of all time. ## "Avatar", which was released in 2009, shattered records upon its release and stormed $2.84 billion in its initial box office run. James Cameron's 'Avatar 2' Gets Official Title And Teaser Update

Los Angeles, April 28 - James Cameron's sci-fi epic, "Avatar 2" first glimpse was shown at CinemaCon 2022, during Disney's slate presentation. The attendees at CinemaCon were overjoyed to see the first tease/trailer of the world of Pandora. ## The title of "Avatar 2", which has officially been announced to debut in theaters on December 16 this year, is "Avatar - The Way of Water". "Avatar 2" is set more than a decade after the events of the first film. It will capture the story of Sully family, the trouble that follows them, and the battle they fight to stay alive.## The first teaser/trailer of the movie, which was screened in 3D for the CinemaCon audiences, will be attached with Marvel Studios' "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of the Madness" in theaters from May 6. It will later release on YouTube, maybe a couple of days after the "Doctor Strange 2" release. ## Producer Jon Landau also reported (via THR) that the four sequels of "Avatar" will be about Jake and Nyteri's family - each a standalone film "together ever-greater connected epic saga.
