Mumbai, December 17 - Dharma Productions' Homebound gets closer to the prestigious Oscar after the hard-hitting drama film was shortlisted in the Best International Feature category for the Oscars 2026. The film will be competing with 14 other international titles. The film had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on 21 May 2025, and reportedly received a nine–minute standing ovation following the screening. It was released theatrically on 26 September 2025 to critical acclaim; however, it failed to create any magic at the box office. The film was released on the OTT platform Netflix on November 21, 2025. Mumbai, December 19 - Dhurandhar has become the first film ever to score 200 crores net collection in the second week in Hindi, and it took just 5 days to breach the milestone. The Ranveer Singh-starrer's historic run has led it to beat the previous second-week record holder, Pushpa 2 - The Rule. After the excellent opening frame, Dhurandhar's second week has all been about record-smashing. The film began the week with the biggest second Friday, and has maintained that number 1 daily record since then by beating Allu Arjun-fronted Pushpa 2 on every day. Aditya Dhar's ambitious spy-universe saga, Dhurandhar, has taken the box office by storm since its release earlier this month.With a stellar ensemble cast featuring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. He is the ultimate antagonist, yet he never appears on screen in Part 1. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar outgrossed the entire theatrical run of Padmaavat (585 crores worldwide) on its 11th day and became the biggest grosser for Ranveer. The movie continued its blockbuster run on the second Tuesday and grossed around 45 crores worldwide to take its total collection to around 633 crores in 12 days. The movie had good buzz before release, but it literally shot off once it hit the big screens, and there has been no stopping it since then. Inspired by real-life incidents, Dhurandhar was always going to do well, but no one had thought it would become a monster going forward. Mumbai, December 16 - Maddock Films' romantic vampire comedy Thamma is all set for its digital debut after completing its theatrical journey with a decent box office success, continuing the winning streak of Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU). Originally released on October 21, on the occasion of Diwali, the Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna-fronted film was made available for online streaming on Amazon Prime Video on December 2 for rental streaming. From 16 December, the film is now available on Prime Video for free for its users. It has been an out-of-the-world box office run for Dhurandhar so far, with an upward daily trend domestically. After the record daily collection in the second week so far, the Ranveer Singh-fronted film continued the momentum to deliver the biggest second Tuesday, that too by almost double the margin.
