Critically Acclaimed Horror Film 'Tumbbad' Gets A Re-Release Date
Mumbai, August 31 - Critically acclaimed folk horror thriller Tumbbad is making its way back to the big screen this September. ## The film, directed by Rahi Anil Barve, is set to be re-released on September 13. It was supposed to get re-issued on August 30 but has been pushed back by 2 weeks. The makers announced the re-release date on Saturday with a new poster. ## The poster features the film's protagonist, Vinayak Rao (played by Sohum Shah), leading his young son Pandurang (played by Mohammad Samad) through the night with a lantern, with an atmosphere of supernatural elements of their journey. ## The film, written by Mitesh Shah, Prasad, Barve, and Gandhi, and produced by Sohum Shah, Aanand L. Rai, Mukesh Shah, and Amita Shah, tells the story of Rao's descent into greed as he hunts for a mythical treasure guarded by a malevolent entity named Hastar.## Tumbbad was originally released in October 2018 and it was hailed as the finest folk horror movie of Indian cinema.
