'Ramayana' Complete Star Cast Details Seemingly Revealed

Mumbai, July 11 - One of Indian cinema's most ambitious projects, director Nitesh Tiwari's epic adaptation of Ramayana, has become the talk of the town following the release of its first look teaser. The brief glimpse, which introduced Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Raavan, has sent anticipation soaring, with a wave of unanimous praise across the board. ## Primary Cast Confirmed ## The teaser officially revealed Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, joined by Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Yash as the fearsome Raavan, and Sunny Deol in the powerful role of Hanuman. Churachandpur, August 19 - Vicky Kaushal-led military action film "Uri: The Surgical Strike" becomes the first Bollywood movie in 20 years to get screened in Manipur state. ## The movie about surgical strikes against Pakistan-based terrorists was shown in a temporary open-air theatre in Churachandpur on Tuesday, according to ABPLive.## "Uri" marked the return of cinema to the conflict-torn state of Manipur after more than 20 years. The Rengkai (Lamka) screening of the movie saw decent attendance. It was screened by the Hmar Students' Association (HSA). ## The national anthem was played at the outdoor theatre, which is located 63 kilometers from the capital city before the film started. Apart from "Ur", three more Hindi movies will be screened including, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai".## "Uri", directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by RSVP Movies, is a fictionalized portrayal of the actual event of the response to the 2016 Uri attack. Sunny Kaushal and Parineeti Chopra To Lead The Sequel To 'Shiddat'

Mumbai, April 13 - The sequel to Sunny Kaushal, and Radhika Madan-fronted romantic drama Shiddat is reportedly in development with Parineeti Chopra as the leading lady opposite Kaushal. ## Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, Shiddat was released in October 2021 on Disney+Hotstar and got an appreciation for its story, songs, and performances. The film was well-received the sequel was imminent which has now been announced. ## Shiddat 2 will be produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and T-Series in association with Jio Studios and it will be released in 2024. 'Bhaukaal 2' IANS Review: An Inspiring Series Despite Oodles Of Violence And Tragedies

Series: 'Bhaukaal 2' (Streaming on MX Player), Duration: About 30 minutes per episode## Director: Jatin Wagle## Cast: Mohit Raina, Siddhanth Kapoor, Pradeep Nagar, Bidita Bag, Bikramjeet Kanwarpal, Ajay Singh Chaudhary, Rahul Gujjar, Priyanka Lulla, Anil Dhawan, Saanyam Srivastav## IANS Rating: ***## There is no pre-defined meaning to the title, 'Bhaukaal', but colloquially in the local North Indian lingo, it egoistically means "in one's own style, pride, and honour" irrespective of the fact whether the person is really respected in the society or not.## That said, 'Bhaukaal 2' is a rustic, cop-gangster-based, crime-action drama created from the real-life incidents of Senior Superintendent of Police Navneit Sekera, whose name has been changed, to Naveen Sekera in the series.## Set in Uttar Pradesh's crime-ridden Muzaffarnagar during 2004, the story of 'Bhaukaal 2' takes off from where it left in its previous season.## Mohit Raina essays the role of the ace police inspector Naveen Sekera who makes it his life's mission to clean and eradicate the lawlessness that's plaguing the town and this season focuses on him eliminating the gangs of Shaukeen Khan and the Dedha brothers.## How he does this against all odds, be it personal or professional, forms the crux of this season's tale.## With the gangs displaying their oneupmanship, the six-minute prologue of the season shows us the anarchy that's prevailing in the town. And the narrative begins - After Shaukeen Khan's death, the onus of the gang falls on the shoulders of his wife Nazneen (Bidita Bag) and his brother Ashfaq (Ajay Singh Chaudhary). They try to hold their own while doing their business of gun-running operations with the unpredictable Dedha brothers till the situation leads the events to go out of control and Pintu (Pradeep Nagar), the oldest of the Dedha brothers, lets out his war cry, "Bhaukaal".## The plots of the episodes contain oodles of abusive vocabulary, gangland culture, and violence that intersects between the world of politics, law enforcement, and the helpless citizens of the town. There is nothing new or unusual shown in the series that the viewer is not aware of. But there is focus and an element of honesty in the telling. Naveen Sekera is neither glorified nor made into a larger-than-life hero. He is portrayed as an earnest and duty-bound officer, and thus the tale is inspiring.## On the performance front, every actor worth his salt delivers earnestly. Mohit Raina slips into SSP Naveen's boots effortlessly. Similarly, Pradeep Nagar as the aggressive Pintu Pehlwan, Siddhant Kapoor, and Rahul Gujjar as his younger brothers, Chintu and Gurjan, are impressive with their on-screen idiosyncrasies. So is every other actor in the series. All of them are natural and simply brilliant.## Technically the series is astutely crafted and mounted with ace production values. Sunny Hinduja on working in India's 1st OTT series shot during lockdown

Mumbai, April 16 (IANS) India's first micro web series shot during the COVID-19 lockdown will be out soon. "Mardaani 2" actor Sunny Hinduja, who features in the series, says the project was challenging as well as fun to work on.## Titled "A Viral Wedding", the series had its pre-production, shooting and post-production work done entirely during the lockdown, with none of the individuals who are involved in the series stepping out of their homes.## The series is directed by Shreya Dhanwanthary, Sunny's co-star in the 2019 OTT show, "The Family Man". It tells the story of a social media influencer who refuses to cancel her wedding owing to the lockdown.## "We had our shares of fun on video and phone calls during the making where people were located in different states and cities. It also brought along shares of struggles with it. But I must admit it was harder than we anticipated, we had nobody to help us, no equipment, no setup, we had to become the lightmen, cinematographers, art directors, and everything," said Sunny, who is playing a primary part in the series," said Sunny.## "Taking care of the sound was another task, as people would be cooking so there were cooker whistles at random times, sometimes there were birds, crows making noise. But with all this, we still managed to complete the shoot in just a week. From start to finish everything was done during the lockdown period. It's a light-hearted attempt to make people smile during this time," he added.## On working with Shreya Dhanwanthary, he said: "When Shreya asked me, I said a yes without thinking. The idea in itself was so unique that it was difficult to say no. We even discussed various ideas about the character and worked together to come up with something real and very different from my own personality. But after reading the script which was penned in 24 hours, I was bewildered at how good it was."## "Even if it wasn't for the lockdown, I would have agreed to do it. The cast and crew are based in different cities and they are working at different timelines, knowing the kind of hard work put into it, feels like a humbling experience to be a part of a first-of-its-kind web series," added Sunny.## Besides Sunny and Shreya, the show also features Amol Parashar, Aishwarya Chaudhary, Aritro, Sharib Hashmi and Mohit Raina, among others.## The shoot is over and the team is giving final touches to a few episodes. Mohit Raina: Playing a real person is an added responsibility (2nd Ld)

Mumbai, March 17 (IANS) It is a huge responsibility to portray on screen a person who is alive. The responsibility gets bigger if the person being essayed is a cop and is still in service, Mohit Raina tells you from personal experience, after working in the web series "Bhaukaal". ## The show is based on a real-life cop named Navniet Sekera. In the show, Mohit's character is called Naveen Sikhera. ## "It's a very raw and rusty subject inspired by true life events. It's based on a real life IPS officer who still holds a very important position in the Uttar Pradesh police force. This was in the early 2000s when he completely cleaned up several places in Uttar Pradesh including Muzaffarnagar, which was known as the crime capital of the country at that time," Mohit claimed whole speaking to IANS. ## The actor added: "The story is based on his life. He is a very famous name over there and has completely changed the meaning of police force, in Uttar Pradesh especially. 'Bhaukaal' is a 10-episodic series where I play him." ## Quizzed if it is an added responsibility playing a police officer who is still in service, the actor replied: "Yes of course. It is an added responsibility because you are portraying someone who is still in service." ## "Before shoot commenced, I met him, spent some time with him and his family. He comes from a very simple farming background. After meeting him I realized that he is very passionate, dedicated about his work and has a daredevil nature. Women's safety has been his top priority over the years. I realized that my responsibility is too much because he is still in service. I have tried to give my best and he is satisfied," informed Mohit. ## Directed by Jatin Wagle, the crime drama web series stars Mohit Raina, Abhimanyu Singh, Siddhant Kapoor, Bidita Bag and others. Web series trains focus on Muzaffarnagar as crime capital of 2000s

Mumbai, March 6 (IANS) The upcoming web series 'Bhaukaal' is a gripping action drama based on true events and centered on an IPS Officer who brings down the organised crime rates in Uttar Pradesh in the early 2000s.## Toplined by Mohit Raina, the show is directed by Jatin Wagle.## Raina returns to the screens after his lauded roles in "Uri: The Surgical Strike" and also his small screen avatar as Mahadev in "Devon Ke Dev: Mahadev".## "Bhaukaal" is set in Muzaffarnagar of 2003, which was known as the crime capital of India back then.
