UGC NET 2019 | Registration Process Has Been Started | Details Inside
The University Grants Commission of India (UGC India) is a statutory body set up by the Indian Union government in accordance to the UGC Act 1956 under Ministry of Human Resource Development, and is charged with coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of higher education. ##
It provides recognition to universities in India, and disbursements of funds to such recognised universities and colleges. ## Its headquarters is in New Delhi, and has six regional centres in Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Bangalore. ##
The National Eligibility Test (NET) OR UGC NET OR NTA-UGC-NET is the test for determining the eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) or both in Indian universities and colleges. ## It has been reiteratively termed to be one of the toughest examinations in India after Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), where it's passing percentage is roughly around 3-6% per each session. ##

Jobs After Clearing UGC NET: ##
University Grants Commission (UGC) announced in 2013 that the candidates who clear the NET successfully would be eligible for lucrative jobs in public sector undertakings (PSUs). ## PSUs can use UGC-NET scores for the recruitment process of the posts of executives in their organizations in disciplines like science (R&D), management, corporate communications, human resources, and finance. ##
