Hombale Films' 'Dhoomam' Starring Fahadh Faasil Release Date Revealed

Bengaluru, March 22 - Hombale Films delivered two mega-blockbusters last year in the form of KGF: Chapter 2 and Kantara which combed grossed over 1600 crores worldwide in a combined budget of approx. 120 crores. ## After such mega success, Hombale Films has become the synonym of blockbusters and there is genuine excitement regarding its next films. The studio will have a couple of releases this year, and one of them is Fahadh Faasil-fronted drama film "Dhoomam". ## "Dhoomam" was announced in September last year under the direction of Pawan Kumar, who directed the Kannada movie "U-Turn". Dhoomam is said to be the revival project of Pawan Kumar who reportedly wanted to make it with either Rakshit Shetty or Dhananjay under the title of C10H14N2 (the chemical formula of Nicotine). ## Meanwhile, as per the latest reports, Hombale Films is planning to release "Dhoomam" in the last week of June, either on June 23 or 30. The movie, as announced earlier, will be released in Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil languages. It has Aparna Balamurali as the female lead along with Roshan Mathew in a pivotal role.## Hombale Films, on the other hand, has multiple films in the pipeline, and the most-awaited of them is Prabhas-fronted "Salaar" which is slated for September 28, 2023, release. Fahadh Faasil To Headline Hombale Films' Next Production?

Bengaluru, September 29 - Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil will reportedly be headlining KGF producer, Hombale Films' next production. The production house teased a new big announcement today (Sept. 29) with the tagline "A race against time". ## According to LetsCinema, Hombale Films-headed by Vijay Kirgandur will announce a new film tomorrow (Sept.30) with Fahadh Faasil. Pawan Kumar, who directed the Kannada movie "U-Turn" and its Tamil-Telugu bilingual remake, will reportedly be directing Hombale's film with Fahadh. ## The studio will make the official announcement tomorrow at 10:16 AM. Fahadh, meanwhile, will next be seen in the Tamil political thriller film "Maamannan", which is currently under production. SS Rajamouli Had Expressed His Wish To Direct Salman Khan's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', Reveals KV Vijayendra Prasad

Mumbai, July 17 - One of the biggest box office blockbusters and critically hailed, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, starring superstar Salman Khan, has completed 7 years since its release in 2015. The Kabir Khan-directed comedy-drama film made over 960 crores at the worldwide box office and is one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of all time. ## The story of the film was written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who revealed in a recent interview that he pitched the film to his son SS Rajamouli before he committed it to Salman Khan. Vijayendra Prasad revealed that Rajamouli loved the story and even wished to direct it but things didn't materialize as he was directing Prabhas-fronted "Baahubali" at that time. ## "Before I was about to commit the story to Salman Bhai, I narrated it to my son and tears started rolling from his eyes. I asked if I should keep the story for him, but he asked me to give it away. Once the film was released, he came to me and said 'Papa, you asked me at the wrong time. I was shooting the climax of Bahubali 1 and it was a jittery situation then. Had you asked me 10 days before or later, I would have directed the film", he revealed to Pinkvilla. ## The film, produced by Salman Khan Films and Kabir Khan Films, tells the story of Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi (Salman Khan), a devotee of the Hindu deity Hanuman, who embarks on a journey to take a mute six-year-old Pakistani Muslim girl Shahida (Harshaali Malhotra), separated in India from her mother, back to her hometown. Late Puneeth Rajkumar's Last Film 'James' To Release On His Birth Anniversary!

Bangalore, November 2 - Actor Puneeth Rajkumar, whose sudden demise has left the film fraternity and his fans in deep shock, will last be seen on the big screen in the upcoming Kannada action film "James". The actor had almost completed the shoot of James except for a song and an action sequence, which the makers have now decided to let go of. ## Directed by Chethan Kumar, James will be Puneeth's last commercial film. The makers had planned to release the film on his birth anniversary on March 17, and they will likely go with their initial plan to release the film. ## "Fans were expecting the film to release on March 17, which happens to be Puneeth's birth anniversary. We, as a team, are yet to recover from this unexpected shock, but I assure fans that they will not be disappointed. We will soon meet after all the ceremonies and formalities here are finished to discuss the next course of action for the completion of the film.
