Mumbai, December 14 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Ceasefire - Part 1 is all set to hit the big screens on December 22nd during the Christmas weekend. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the action drama has been rated with an "A" certificate by CBFC which has raised excitement among action film lovers. ## The advance booking of "Salaar" will be opened tomorrow in India. Overseas, the booking was commenced recently and has already crossed $1 million for the opening weekend as well as for the opening day, including the premieres with 8 days still left for the release.## North America is leading pre-sales with approx. $850K for day 1, including premiers which will take place on December 21st. Over the last couple of days, the pre-sales have seen a sharp jump and are set for a further big jump as the film is approaching its release date. ## In the UK, the advances for the opening day+premiers is approx. £115K ($145K) and for the entire weekend is approx. £175K ($220K). Mumbai, December 14 - The Indian box office is gearing up for another round of heavyweight clash between two of the biggest films of the year, Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Dunki, and Prabhas-starrer Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. In between, there is the Hollywood superhero biggie, "Aquaman 2" along with the mega-blockbuster holdover "Animal" which will be looking to cash in the opportunity during the Christmas weekend. ## Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is coming after two monstrous blockbusters in the form of "Pathaan" and "Jawan", and the expectations are from "Dunki" which marks his maiden collaboration with maverick director Rajkumar Hirani. "Salaar" is directed by Prashanth Neel whose last film "KGF: Chapter 2" was a massive blockbuster, especially in Hindi. ## The Dunki vs Salaar has been termed as the clash of the titans and this is leading to serious negotiations regarding screen sharing, mainly in North India where Prabhas-starrer is a serious challenge to other movies. AA Films will be producing "Salaar" in the Hindi belt and the studio is putting efforts to get the best possible release against "Dunki". ## According to a report by Pinkvilla, "Dunki" will have a big advantage as multiplexes are favouring the first-time combo of SRK-Hirani over other movies during the Christmas weekend. The report says that social comedy will be getting 46% of the total showcasing in the multiplexes, followed by Salaar, which will be around 30% of the overall shows. "Aquaman 2" manages to get 14% showcasing while 10% will go to holdover "Animal".## The aforementioned is the tentative showcasing scenario in the multiplexes with 3 or more screens, but when it comes to two screens or single screens, the showcasing is diverse and varies from region to region. Mumbai, November 22 - Director Om Raut, after the huge blockbuster success of "Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero" in 2020, came up with the even bigger or perhaps the biggest film of his career Adipurush. The film starred superstar Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh, among others in key roles.## Produced by T-Series and Retrophiles, "Adipurush" was director Raut's modern take on the epic "Ramayana" and he announced the film with huge enthusiasm in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the filmmaker had no idea back then that it was going to be the most horrible experience of his career and that he shouldn't have modernized the epic. ## The movie had already become the centre of controversy when the first teaser was dropped last year. The teaser was slammed for the poor VFX and the wrong depiction of the characters of Ramayana. Hyderabad, October 25 - Superstar Prabhas' action drama film Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire is one of the most-awaited Pan-Indian films and his collaboration with director Prashanth Neel is doing wonders for the movie in the trade. ## Produced by Hombale Films, "Salaar" was supposed to be released on September 28, 2023, before it was pushed to December 22, 2023, worldwide. Prabhas is one of the most bankable stars in Telugu and this is leading to huge pre-release business in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. ## According to a report in Track Tollywood, the theatrical rights of the film are sold at a whopping 165 crores approximately in the two Telugu states, which is the second highest ever after SS Rajamouli's "RRR". "Salaar" is only the third film to get sold for 150+ crores in AP-TG, after "Baahubali 2" and "RRR". ## Mythri Movie Makers has reportedly bought the theatrical rights of the film for the Nizam area for approximately 65 crores. Ceded rights sold for approx. 27 crores while rights for Uttarandhra have been sold at 20 crores and 14 crores have come from the deal of East Godavari rights. Guntur and Nellore rights have been locked at 12 crores and 6 crores, respectively while the rest of the areas' rights are being said to be done in the range of 20 crores. ## "Salaar" will need to score over 200 crores gross in order to break even and emerge as a box office hit. The movie is releasing during the holiday period of Christmas and if it manages to get a positive reception, the New Year period will boost the collection.
