Hyderabad, July 2 - Director Nag Ashwin has been working tirelessly on the sci-fi epic "Project K" starring superstar Prabhas in the lead. The makers have kept mum on the film's premise although a few character details have been revealed in the media. ## As the release date is getting nearer, the latest details from the movie hint that "Project K" is a much bigger movie than what we have heard so far. Previously, it was revealed that legendary Amitabh Bachchan's role is inspired by Ashwatthama from Mahabharata, and now, the details of Prabhas' character have also reportedly been revealed. ## According to senior journalist Daamu Balaji (via Thyview), Prabhas' character is inspired by Lord Vishnu in modern times. It is said that "Project K" is a sci-fi supernatural film that runs on the theme of Good vs evil just like Marvel movies do, but director Nag Ashwin has mixed mythology with science. ## "The hand poster of Prabhas' character released is of lord Vishnu. How Prabhas fights the modern villains using high technology forms the rest of the story. The evil character is portrayed by Kamal Haasan", the post reveals.## The movie is produced by C. Aswani Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies. It is one of the costliest films ever made in Indian cinema with the said budget of over 500 crores. Hyderabad, June 25 - The release calender of big-budget Pan-Indian movies continues to shake up. Two of the most awaited movies, Ram Charan-starrer Game Changer and Prabhas-fronted Project K are such films which were announced a long time back but the shoot is still not completed. ## "Game Changer", which is being directed by Shankar, does not seem to getting completed anytime soon. Due to Shankar's other commitment to Kamal Haasan's "Indian 2", the shoot for Ram Charan's movie is having long delays, and as per the latest reports, around 80 days of shoot is still pending for the movie. ## The film was announced for Sankranthi 2024 release in multiple languages, but the latest reports have suggested that it won't be ready by that time. It is said that the "Game Changer" release date is now pushed to the Summer of 2024. It is produced by Dil Raju and the makers are unlikely to provide an update anytime soon as there is so much work still pending. ## Prabhas-fronted "Project K" is perhaps the most-anticipated Indian movie in the works at the moment. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi action epic boasts a legendary cast that also features Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in prominent roles. ## "Project K" is believed to be a two-part feature film, however, the makers haven't made any official announcement regarding the same yet. Hyderabad, June 25 - The most-awaited Indian film, Project K gets bigger with the legendary addition to its already solid star cast. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic is produced by C. Mumbai, June 22 - Director Om Raut's magnum opus Adipurush was one of the most-awaited films of the year and it proved with an excellent opening at the domestic box office. ## The effect of Ramayana, plus the star power of Prabhas worked wonders for the film in the opening weekend despite the negative word of mouth as the movie scored 261 crores gross in India. However, what happened next was unexpected as "Adipurush" slipped to a historic low after the opening weekend wonder. ## Despite the word of mouth being against the film, it was still expected to score at a decent level during the weekdays but it faced a near-complete rejection from the audiences. From Monday to Thursday, "Adipurush" grossed just around 46 crores domestically in all languages, for approx. 307 crores opening week domestic collection.## While the opening week numbers of "Adipurush" are big, the drastic fall during the weekdays has more or less sealed the fate of the film as it will be extremely tough to regain the momentum. Bengaluru, June 21 - As Pan India superstar Prabhas' "Adipurush" is underperforming after the gigantic opening weekend, the focus is now gradually shifting to his next film Salaar with KGF makers, director Prashanth Neel and producer Hombale Films. ## Ever since the movie was announced, the talks widespread regarding whether it could become a bigger blockbuster than "KGF 2". The makers haven't released much content about the movie so far but the first look glimpse got a huge positive response which increased the hype. ## Now, as the release is getting nearer (September 28), Hombale Films is gearing up to unveil the teaser and other stuff. In between the teaser talks, it has been revealed that "Salaar" will also have an IMAX release other than the regular 2D format. Mumbai, June 18 - Prabhas-fronted Adipurush scored a humongous opening weekend at the Hindi box office. The movie, despite the negativity, remained rock solid over the weekend to hit the second-biggest opening weekend in Hindi in 2023. ## After collection approx. 74.25 crores in the first 2 days, Adipurush is witnessing a jump of around 5-10% on its first Sunday as early estimates suggest around 38-39 crores net collection. It showed a drop in the night shows but still is collected superbly throughout the day to push the total collection to around 114 crores in Hindi, which is an excellent result by any means. ## The movie has seen a jump in collections at both mass and multiplex centers today which resulted in a decent jump. The opening weekend performance of Adipurush in Hindi has exceeded expectations as pre-release projections were around 75 crores net. ## Adipurush opened with mixed word of mouth but the Ramayana factor has played a vital role in its performance in Hindi. It will now be interesting to see how it performs from tomorrow onwards which will give an idea about when it can finish its run. ## Meanwhile, the movie is likely to have crossed the 300 crores gross mark at the global box office in the opening weekend itself. Hyderabad, June 17 - It is very well known to everyone that Pan India superstar Prabhas is doing a horror-comedy film with Telugu director Maruthi. The movie also stars Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt in a prominent role along with Malavika Mohanan as the female lead.## The movie hasn't been officially announced yet but it went on floors last year and preceding slowly due to Prabhas' busy schedule. Meanwhile, it was reported that the movie got titled "Raja Deluxe" but the latest reports have revealed that it will have a different title. ## According to The Free Press Journal, the movie has been titled Royal after much discussion. "There are three suggested titles Raja Deluxe, Ambassador, and Royal. The makers have zeroed in on the title Royal". The official confirmation is yet to be made on the same.## The report further revealed that around 50% of the shoot is completed and it will pick the pace now after Prabhas done with "Adipurush" which has been released in theaters. ## Prabhas is reportedly not charging any remuneration for doing "Royal", instead, he will share profit in the film. Mumbai, June 17 - Adipurush which had an extraordinary opening day collection of 37.25 crores net in Hindi is holding exceedingly well on its second day which is a huge plus for the film as the reports are very mixed, and on top of that the film has faced huge negativity on social media. ## The early estimates suggest around 37 crores net on its second day/first Saturday in Hindi which is very similar to the first day. The only difference is the mass centers have seen some drop, especially in the northern belt. The Ramayan factor is the biggest plus in the northern belts but in bigger centers, it will be all about the content which will do the talking. ## The first two days of collections will take the total collections of Adipurush to around the 74cr net box office mark. Sunday is set for big growth going by the advance and this will be the day when both multiplexes and the single screen will record their best occupancies. The Sunday number could well be more than 40cr net which will take the first weekend collections of Adipurush to around 115cr net mark which will put it among the biggest first-weekend films of all time and that too on a normal weekend. ## The first-day worldwide business is humongous with approx 127 crores worldwide gross figures becoming the biggest opener of Indian cinema of 2023 overtaking Pathaan. It is the third 100cr worldwide opener of the lead actor Prabhas after Bahubali: The Conclusion and Sahoo. Mumbai, June 17 - Pan India superstar Prabhas's magnum opus Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, was in the full flow of its opening day at the domestic as well as overseas box office.## "Adipurush", which is technically a Bollywood production, becomes the first Bollywood movie of all time to gross over 100 crores at the domestic box office in all versions. It has beaten the opening day record of Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" (68 crores) which was released in January this year. ## The movie grossed a solid approx. 102.50 crores at the domestic box office. The Telugu version led the charge with approx. 56.50 crores gross, followed by the Hindi version which accounted for approx. 44 crores gross collection. The versions remained low on the opening day and collected approx. 2 crores gross. The Hindi net collection of 37.25 crores of "Adipurush" is the 9th highest of all-time, ahead of "Sultan" and behind "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".## At the overseas box office, "Adipurush" scored around 25 crores, pushing the total worldwide collection of the movie to 126 crores, which is the highest for Bollywood and 5th highest for an Indian movie after "RRR", "Baahubali 2", "KGF 2" and "Saaho". "Pathaan" grossed 105 crores worldwide on the opening day. ## Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster "RRR", which was released last year, remains the biggest Indian opener of all time with 223 crores gross. It is also the biggest opener domestically with 156 crores gross. The second-best worldwide opener is again SSR's "Baahubali 2" which starred Prabhas in the lead. The film was always likely to have an excellent start as it is based on an epic Ramayan but still this sort of start and that too on nonholiday is extraordinary. ## The early estimated collections for the first day of Adipurush in the Hindi version indicate at least 35 crores net. If the night shows perform really well, then a 40cr net opening day is also within reach. The film will easily be the second-highest opening of 2023 in the Hindi version after Pathaan. Even if you take a nonholiday then Adipurush will be the third-highest opener ever in the Hindi version after Pathaan and Prabhas' own Bahubali: The Conclusion.## The reports of the film are mixed just like every event film but that will hardly matter for the general audience who is seeing the film due to the Ramayan factor. The weekend business will be humongous for sure and it has a chance to challenge the Baahubali: The Conclusion numbers in the first weekend. The 100cr weekend is given even in the worst case. ## The all-India first-day collection is estimated to be around 90-95 crores net. The Telugu version has performed exceptionally well as estimates suggest 55+ crores net. The movie, based on the epic Ramayana, is directed by Om Raut and stars Prabhas as Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, among others in key roles. ## "Adipurush" is the major attempt to adapt Ramayana and it seems that the Indians are eager to experience this epic on the big screen which is clearly visible in the pre-booking. The advance booking of the movie was opened on Sunday (June 11) and since then, the response to pre-sales has been exceptional. ## The movie has sold over 1 million tickets in advance for all versions, and becomes the second Indian movie of the year to score this much sales after "Pathaan". The advance tickets sold are around 1.2 million (not counting block seats), which is the highest this year. ## The Hindi version of the movie has sold around 500K, which is short of "Brahmastra: Part 1" (600K tickets). The Om Raut's directorial has been one of the most anticipated Indian movies and it is expected to emerge as one of the biggest hits of the year. ## The advance booking of the film was opened on Sunday (June 11) in Hindi while the Telugu booking started yesterday (June 14). The response to the pre-booking has been excellent so far, especially in the Telugu version which is witnessing houseful shows across Telugu states.## As reported earlier, "Adipurush" is all set to emerge as the biggest Indian opener of the year, beating Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which scored 67 crores gross collection in all languages in January. "Adipurush" is expecting 100-110 crores gross at the domestic box office in all versions. ## The Telugu version of the movie is projected to score around 55-65 crore gross while the Hindi version, which will be key for the film's overall success, is expected to open around 35-40 crore gross number. The other versions are likely to fetch 5-10 crores on the opening day. ## Talking about the Hindi collection of "Adipurush", the advance booking trend indicates, at least, 25-30 crores net on day 1. Since the movie is the cinematic adaptation of Ramayana, the spot booking of the film should be strong due to the family audiences and this could make it an easy 30+ crores net starter in Hindi.
