Mumbai, July 24 - Prabhas' long-awaited epic drama Adipurush is silently progressing with its post-production work. It is the film, which is based on the epic Ramayana, that got everyone's attention from the very first day it was announced in 2020. The lack of updates from makers has also not affected its buzz which is keep going up with each passing day. ## "Adipurush" is directed by Om Raut, who last directed the National Award-winning film "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior" in 2020. The upcoming magnum opus will feature Prabhas in the title role of Lord Ram while Kriti Sanon plays Janaki/Sita and Saif Ali Khan essays the role of Lankesh/Raavan. ## Meanwhile, director Raut is looking super confident about the film's success and said that it will be remembered for a long long time in Indian cinema. In a recent interview, Om Raut said about Adipurush, "The shooting had already been completed. The post-production work is progressing. Adipurush is another epic drama that will spellbind audiences across the nation". ## The filmmaker went on to say that "Adipurush" is very close to his heart and he has been working hard to provide once in a lifetime theatrical experience to the audience. Though Raut has directed only three films, his popularity has increased immensely post the mega box office success of Ajay Devgn's "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior". ## Om Raut is currently working on the post-production of what could be his biggest film, Prabhas-fronted "Adipurush". The movie is scheduled to release on January 12, 2023, all over the world. Now, according to the reports, Raut has been approached to direct another mega movie, "Shaktimaan". ## According to a news portal, Om Raut has been approached to direct "Shaktimaan", which might have Ranveer Singh in the title role. Ranveer has reportedly shown interest in playing Pandit Gangadhar Vidyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri aka Shaktimaan. However, the actor is yet to sign on the dotted lines to come officially on board the movie. ## "Shakitmaan", which will be made in a trilogy, has been adapted from a popular Indian 90s show of the same name. The legendary role was played by Mukesh Khanna in the show which became massively successful at that time. Sony Pictures International Productions earlier in the year joined hands with Mukesh Khanna's Bheeshm International and Brewing Thoughts Private Limited to announce the big-screen adaptation of the show. ## The talks with Om Raut and Ranveer Singh are still in the early stage and nothing has been confirmed yet. However, both have reportedly shown interest in the movie, and if all goes well, the duo will be coming together for the first time for what could be a new age in Indian cinema. Hyderabad, June 29 - Pan India superstar Prabhas will be teaming up with director Maruthi, which is said to be an action-comedy film. Tentatively titled "Raja Deluxe", the movie is expected to go on floors around September this year before getting ready for 2023 release. ## Director Maruthi has already begun the pre-production work and is leaving no stone unturned to make it a top-notch entertainer. Meanwhile, Maruthi in a recent interview said that he will present the actor according to his fans and audiences' wish. He will also be directing megastar Chiranjeevi after Prabhas' film. ## "For my next Chiranjeevi and Prabhas projects, I try to project the heroes the way the audience and fans want to see them. Hyderabad, June 28 - It looks like there will be further delay in the release of two of the most-awaited Pan India biggies from South India. Prabhas-fronted Salaar and Allu Arjun-starrer Puhspa - The Rule will most likely to release in second half of 2023, due to the delay in production. ## The Prashanth Neel directorial "Salaar" has been in production since last year. It was originally announced for the release in April 2021, however, the makers were forced to delay the release as the shoot of the movie is nowhere close to completion.## Director Prashanth Neel had recently said that the entire shoot of the film will be completed by this year-end only as only 30% of the entire filming is done yet. The film will now be released in the second half of the next year. Before the release of "Salaar", Prabhas might see two releases in the form of "Adipurush" and one more film which he will start shooting soon. There is Nag Ashwin's "Project K" will also be released next year, however, the date is yet to be known. ## Meanwhile, Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rule" is also gearing up for the second half of the 2023 release. It was expected to start shooting in April this year, but writer-director Sukumar is taking longer than expected time in the script and has been working on it to make it a true Pan-India appealing. ## According to Pinkvilla, "The movie is now scheduled to go on floors by August with a prolonged schedule spanning for over 6 months. Hyderabad, June 25 - Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran has confirmed that he is doing Prabhas-fronted "Salaar". The actor hasn't started shooting for his portion yet and said that he would be meeting with director Prashanth Neel to find dates for the movie. ## Prithviraj also said that he was offered "Salaar" two years ago and he immediately said yes as he found the story very interesting. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, a lot of things changed which tempted Prithviraj to back out from the project because he too had his other commitments. ## Prabhas, who is playing the title role of Salaar, convinced Prithviraj to do the role which he agreed upon. He will be playing a very important role for which the details are yet to be known. Based on Ramayana, Adipurush is catching eyeballs and there is already a lot of eagerness for this movie among the Indian audiences. ## The makers are very well aware of what could this film give them in return and hence, they are leaving no stone unturned to make it the biggest event film in Indian cinema. It all begins with the budget of the film and it is officially the costliest film ever made in India. ## Producer Bhushan Kumar in an interview with Pinkvilla revealed that "Adipurush's" budget is around Rs. 500 crores and he is super confident about the business of the film. "We know that the opening (of Adipurush) will be giant with houseful board across. So, we will try to optimize the demand for the film by going ahead with blockbuster pricing".## "We know people will come to see it irrespective of pricing as it is a one-off it's kind of event cinema and there is only limited capacity. After delivering all-time Pan-India blockbusters in the form of KGF films, the studio is now tightening its grip on another Pan-India biggie, "Salaar" starring superstar Prabhas. ## The success of "KGF Chapter 2" has tempted the makers to aim big with "Salaar" and as expected, they are working towards making this Prashanth Neel-directed movie the biggest in Indian cinema. Mumbai, May 11 - Alia Bhatt's box office hit, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" remained the most-watched Indian movie on Netflix for the second week in a row, becoming a big hit on the streamer. ## The biographical drama film, after debuting at number 1 worldwide with 13.8 million viewing hours on Netflix in the first week, continued to be in the top 3 in the second week as well with 8.3 million viewing hours. The movie has now clocked a whopping 22.1 million viewing hours in just 13 days (April 26 - May 8). ## Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" was released in theaters on February 25 and became a box office hit by grossing approx. 190 crores worldwide. It completed 8 weeks in theaters before it was made available on Netflix on April 26. It is currently trending in the top 10 in 20 countries.## Meanwhile, Prabhas-fronted "Radhe Shyam" Hindi version has debuted in the top 10 on Netflix with 3.6 million viewing hours in 6 days.
