Hyderabad, March 11 - Superstar Prabhas has returned to the romantic genre after a decade with Radha Krishna Kumar-directed "Radhe Shyam". The actor has made an image of a Rebal star over the years with a dollop of high-octane action and has been successful in doing that. ## "Radhe Shyam" is a unique love story film that is very known for Prabhas, who said that he wanted to do something different from regular action films. Opening about the same, he said that 'Radhe Shyam' also has a sprinkle of thriller and is India's first film with retro visuals, dresses, and color mix. ## "I wanted to do something different not like action, action, and action... I wanted to do something different so that I could do some experiments more in the future. So, we thought we'd do a love story or something different. I heard 3-to 4 scripts and planned to do this", the Baahubali actor said. ## "Radhe Shyam", which also stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead, has been released in theaters on March 11. Mumbai, March 10, 2022: After Baahubali 2, Prabhas came with Saaho and the opening day was a blast even in Hindi as it made 24.40 Cr Net on its first day. ## After that, Saaho became a hit in the Hindi belt even with mixed reviews and Prabhas proved that he is a now PAN India star. ## Now, he is coming up with Radhe Shyam which is a romantic movie and it was also supposed to take a grand opening, not as good as Saaho due to its romantic genre as action movies opening is always better. ## Action movie Saaho opened with 105 Cr India gross (second highest after Baahubali 2) and Radhe Shyam's expectation was 80-85 Cr due to its genre and post-pandemic release but with no proper planning from makers, Radhe Shyam's opening day seems to be 50-55 Cr India gross. ## This opening number may go higher if Radhe Shyam receives solid reviews and then WOM will do its work for Friday evening and night shows. ## Radhe Shyam Hindi advance booking opened late, there was no big promotion in the Hindi belt and it is a romantic movie, due to these reasons, Radhe Shyam's opening day numbers seems to really low as of now as it is heading towards 3-4 cr net. Hyderabad, March 8 - The long wait for Prabhas' fans is coming to an end as his "Radhe Shyam" is finally releasing this Friday (March 11) in theaters. The period romantic film, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, was originally slated for 2021 release, but the covid-19 pandemic forced makers to change their plans like most other movies. ## Meanwhile, Prabhas made full use of the free time he got in the last two years, thanks to the pandemic. During the said period, the "Saaho" signed films after films that appeal to global audiences. He is one of the actors who like to finish one film before moving on to the next. But the pandemic made him work on multiple projects simultaneously to keep the fans entertaining once things turn normal. ## During a recent interview while promoting "Radhe Shyam", Prabhas explained the reason behind taking multiple films simultaneously. Being one of the fan favorites and called 'darling' by his well-wishers, the "Baahubali" star said that he loves to entertain his fans continously which is the main reason behind signing so many films. ## "I have signed many films for a reason. In the last 3 years, I have not had a release. My fans have been waiting to see me in multiple films. It's a payback time. I will treat them to big entertainers continuously. I owe to them. So, I have decided to have multiple releases", said the actor. ## ICYDK, Prabhas currently has five films under development at various stages of production, apart from "Radhe Shyam". He has already done shooting for Om Raut's magnum opus, "Adipurush", which is slated for January 12, 2023, release.
