Baahubali fame, Prabhas is all set to team up with the Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior director Om Raut for upcoming magnum opus Adipurush. The movie was announced on Tuesday (August 18), and this dream project of Om Raut is said to be an adaption of Ramayana.## This mega budgeted project will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair under the banners of T-series and Retrophiles. Going with the theme of this movie, Prabhas reportedly will enact the role of Lord 'Ram' in this epic drama. ## Talking about the project, Prabhas said in the statement as reported by Hindustan Times, "Every role and every character comes with its own challenges, but portraying a character like this comes with tremendous responsibility and pride. It was recently when one of the leading actresses of Bollywood Deepika Padukone roped in for Prabhas starrer upcoming untitled movie called as Prabhas 21. However, it was not easy for the makers to bring Deepika on board as she put up a "very strong resistance". But makers were keen to have her on board and they made her an offer she couldn't resist.## According to a report in a leading portal stated, "Apparently Deepika these days, asks for remuneration on a par with what the leading man of a film gets. She rightly feels she has earned herself a place of gender equality in her profession". ## The report suggests that despite not getting an equal fee to Prabhas (he is paid close to Rs. 50 crores), Deepika is being paid close to Rs. 20 crores which makes her the highest-paid actress in the history of Indian cinema. ## Interestingly, the role of the female protagonist in the Prabhas starrer was not "all that substantial" to begin with. Hyderabad, April 28 (IANS) "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" was released three years ago on this day, and the blockbuster's cast -- including Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Tamannaah -- took to social media to express nostalgia about the project.## The "Baahubali" franchise turned Telugu actor Prabhas into a superstar overnight. Calling "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" the "biggest film" of his life, Prabhas shared a photo from the sets of the film on Instagram.## The actor wrote: "Baahubali 2 was not just a film that the nation loved but also, the biggest film of my life. Hyderabad, March 26 (IANS) "Baahubali" actor Prabhas became the latest Telugu star to donate for the cause of combating against the coronavirus pandemic.## The actor on Thursday donated Rs 4 crore for the cause. Of this, Rs 3 crore is being given to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund, while Rs 50 lakh each go to the Chief Minister Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.## Prabhas recently returned from Georgia, where he was shooting for his upcoming film, tentatively titled "Prabhas 20", with Pooja Hegde. Both actors went into self-quarantine for 14 days upon return.## Earlier in the day, Telugu superstars Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, and Mahesh Babu had also donated to boost the fight against COVID-19. It was Pawan Kalyan who initiated the nobel gesture giving Rs 2 crore for the cause. Soon, his nephew Ram Charan declared a charity of Rs 70 lakh while Ram Charan's father, the veteran superstar of Telugu cinema, Chiranjeevi, gave Rs 1 crore. Ever since they played the king and queen in the ''Baahubali'' franchise, their fan following has only increased.
