Box Office: Thalapathy Vijay's Blockbuster 'Leo' Hits 600 Crores Worldwide In 25 Days

Chennai, November 13 - Thalapathy Vijay's mega-blockbuster Leo has become the third Tamil movie of all-time to top 600 crores at the worldwide box office, after superstar Rajinikanth-led blockbusters "2.0" and "Jailer". ## The action thriller, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is slowing down at the box office but has done its job in the first three weeks. It has completed 25 days in theatres with a worldwide gross collection of approx. 600 crores, a first for Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj. ## "Leo" is the second Tamil movie of the year to breach this box office mark after "Jailer". The 600+ crores worldwide gross includes approx. 203 crores overseas collection (studio estimates) while the domestic collection is a little over 397 crores. The movie should be able to top 400 crores in domestic gross in the next few days. ## Produced by Seven Screen Studio, "Leo" will be looking to cross "Jailer" (604.50 crores) to become the second highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time. It will also surpass "PS-1" by today or tomorrow to become the highest-grossing film ever in Tamil Nadu state and a new industry hit in the state. ## "Leo" has had a good run in the Hindi language, in which it is one of the highest-grossing Tamil movies. The movie has scored approx. 31.30 crores gross in 25 days and it will be finishing around 31.50 crores final gross. The movie could have added another 2-3 crores gross but has been reduced to a fewer number of screens after the arrival of Salman Khan's "Tiger 3". ## It is the third instalment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) and is inspired by A History of Violence (2005), an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name. Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo' Advance Booking Status In The USA and The UK

Los Angeles, September 28 - Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagraj's second collaboration, Leo is off to an excellent start in the advance booking in the USA and the UK along with other overseas territories.## The film has its premiere on October 18 in the USA and for the same, the advance booking has already crossed $100K. It has so far sold approximately 5800 tickets worth $130K (1.10 crores) gross collection. The pre-sales is expected to see a further jump as more and more shows are being added. ## The United Kingdom was the first to open the advance booking of "Leo" and it has been trending really well since then. Ahimsa Entertainment, which is the UK distributor of the movie, shared that the film has so far sold 30K+ tickets for all days. The opening day advance ticket sold count is around 21K and it is likely to emerge as the biggest Indian opener in the UK.## "Leo" is currently the second-biggest opening-day grosser Tamil movie, behind "Ponniyin Selvan Part - 1" in the UK and it will be the biggest in the next few days in the advance sales only. Chennai, August 8 - Thalapathy Vijay's gangster drama film "Leo" is among the most-anticipated Pan-Indian movies. Directed by Lokesh Kanaganaraj, the movie features Thalapathy Vijay in the title role alongside Sanjay Dutt, and Trisha Krishnan among others in key roles.## Now, according to LetsCinema, "Leo" is gearing up to be a two-part film. The first part, "Leo" is scheduled to release on October 19 this year, and it is said that the climax of the movie will tease the sequel or Part 2 of the film.## It will be the first time in Thalapathy Vijay's career that his film gets a sequel.
