On 27th February 2019, India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj meets her Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Wuzhen, China for 16th Foreign Ministers Meeting of Russia-India-China (RIC). ## - In China, EAM Sushma Swaraj and her Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Wuzhen attended 16th Foreign Ministers Meeting of Russia-India-China (RIC) here. She held bilateral discussions with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, besides the Chinese Foreign Minister. ## - EAM Sushma Swaraj in Wuzhen, China: India-China relations, as you said, is an important relationship for both of our countries. We have made substantial progress in our relations since the informal summit between PM Modi and President Xi Jinping in Wuhan in April 2018. ## - EAM Sushma Swaraj: It is important to both sides to ensure thorough and effective implementation of the guidance given by our leaders. Both sides have made good efforts in this regard & we should sustain this effort. ## - In China, EAM Sushma Swaraj, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the 16th Foreign Ministers meeting of Russia-India-China (RIC) in Wuzhen. - EAM: We're aware of the recent dastardly terrorist attack on our security forces in Pulwama, J&K perpetrated by Jaish-e-Mohammed, a Pakistan based&supported terrorist org proscribed by UN&other countries. We lost over CRPF 40 personnel while several others are injured seriously. ## - EAM Sushma Swaraj in Wuzhen, China: Such dastardly terrorist attacks are a grim reminder for the need of all the countries to show zero tolerance to terrorism and take decisive action against it. ## - EAM Sushma Swaraj: Following the Pulwama terrorist attack instead of taking seriously the calls by the international community to act against Jaish-e-Mohammed&other terror groups based in Pakistan, it denied any knowledge of the attack&outrightly dismissed claims by Jaish-e-Mohammed. ## - EAM: In the light of the continuing refusal of Pak to acknowledge&act against terror groups on its territory&based on credible info that JeM was planning other attacks in parts of India, GoI decided to take preemptive action&target was selected in order to avoid civilian casualties. ## - EAM: It wasn't a military op, no military installation targeted. Objective was to act against terrorist infrastructure of JeM to preempt another terror attack in India. India doesn't wish to see further escalation of situation. The selection of the target was also conditioned by our desire to avoid civilian casualty. It's located in the deep forest on a hilltop". ## - Foreign Secretary: India is firmly & resolutely committed to taking all measures to fight the menace of terrorism. This non-military pre-emptive action was targeted specifically at JeM camp. Terrorists Will Have To Pay The Big Price - PM Narendra Modi

A day after the major terror attack on Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) where about 40 Jawans have been martyred, the NDA government has given full freedom to the security forces. The attack on a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday by terrorists is the second biggest attack on the paramilitary force in the last nine years.## Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that the terrorists will have to pay the big price for this attack. The incident took place when about 2,500 CRPF personnel were going in a convoy of 78 vehicles from Jammu to Srinagar. The incident, believed to be a suicide attack, saw a van packed with explosives reportedly ram into a CRPF bus.## The PM said that "Respectfully pay tribute to martyr soldiers in the Pulwama terror attack. They have offered their life while serving the country. In this moment of grief, my senses are with their families. I want to tell terrorist organizations and their guardians that they have made a big mistake. They will pay a very big price".## "We have given full freedom to our security forces. Major Attack On CRPF Convoy, More Than 40 Jawans Martyred

In the Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir, there is a large terrorist attack on the convoy of CRPF in Goripura area of Avantipura. In the attack, more than 40 soldiers of the CRPF have been martyred. The terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed took responsibility for the attack and described it as suicide.## It is being told that this is the second biggest terrorist attack after the Uri attack in September 2016 in which around 18 CRPF soldiers were martyred. The injured in Pulwama attack are being treated at the Army Hospital in Srinagar. The bus carrying CRPF jawans was targeted primarily. Several other vehicles have also been damaged in the attack. An army official said that the IED blast targeting the CRPF jawans was taken by the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.## On the other hand, many politicians including Prime Minister Narendra Modi have condemned the attack. The PM has said that the martyrdom of the martyrs will be revenge. Meanwhile, PM Modi also spoke to National Security Co-Operator (NSA) Ajit Doval. Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh will go to Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow and will stock of the incident.## People including politicians around the world also have condemned the attack and said it cowardly.
