Mumbai, Dec 12, 2021: Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was released exactly 13 years ago on 12 December 2008 and proved an outright Blockbuster for the makers. The film starred Shah rukh khan in a leading role and it was a debut film of heroine Anushka Sharma who went on to become a big actress in upcoming years. ## Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was directed by Aditya Chopra who earlier directed Shah Rukh Khan in Blockbusters like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge and Mohabbatien and hence the expectation was for another Blockbuster film which it became eventually. ## The film was a simple desi-rooted love story so the craze for the film was not like previous Shah rukh khan's love stories like Om Shanti Om and Veer Zaara but the music of the film scored hugely and became chartbuster. As a result, the film was a slow starter in the morning but picked up huge from evening onwards on its opening day. The final first-day figure of the film was 3rd highest of its year behind Ghajini and Singh Is King. ## The audience word-of-mouth was very positive and on the strength of that, the film had an excellent first weekend and first week numbers.
