'Leo 2' Plans Scrapped

Chennai, November 5 - Director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Cinematic Universe featuring some of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema has been the talk of the town and the maverick filmmaker has now shared the details of the upcoming films of LCU. ## The LCU began with Karthi's Kaithi in 2019, followed by Kamal Haasan's Vikram (2022), and Thalapathy Vijay's Leo (2023), and all three films became massive hits. The next film in the universe is Raghava Lawrence's BENZ which Kanagaraj writes but he won't be directing it.## As already announced, Lokesh's next LCU directorial is Kaithi 2 which begins next year. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the filmmaker said that he has plans to make Suriya's Rolex as a standalone film in the LCU and it will be next after the Kaithi sequel. ## Loki revealed that after Relox, he will make Vikram 2 and that will be the end of LCU. Meanwhile, the filmmaker has seemingly scrapped plans to make LEO 2 with which he wanted to conclude his cinematic universe. ## The director said that he would have made LEO 2 if Thalapathy Vijay hadn't announced his political entry. As known to all, Vijay has announced his retirement from films after his film with director H. Vinoth which is currently on floors. With this, the possibility of a sequel to Leo, which was supposed to happen, is also gone. ## However, Vijay might still appear in the universe, at least, one more time. Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj Announces New Film In The LCU

Chennai, October 30 - Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's Cinematic Universe is immensely popular among the fans with some of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema featuring in it. The LCU kicked off in 2019 with Karthi-fronted Kaithi, followed by Kamal Haasan-led Vikram (2022), and Thalapathy Vijay's Leo (2023). ## All three films in the LCU are directed by Lokesh and his next directorial in this universe is Kaithi 2 which will commence in 2025. Lyca Productions Announces Sequel To Rajinikanth's 'Chandramuki' With Raghava Lawrence To Play The Lead

Chennai, June 14 - A sequel to superstar Rajinikanth's horror-comedy film "Chandramuki" has been announced by Lyca Productions. The sequel will be headlined by Raghava Lawrence while actor-comedian Vadivelu will be reprising his role from the original movie. ## "Chandramuki 2" will see P Vasu returning to the director's chair. MM Keeravani will be scoring the music for the film with cinematography by RD Rajasekar, and art direction by Thotta Tharani. Interestingly, the movie was also remade in Hindi as "Bhool Bhulaiyaa" (2007), and its sequel "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" is currently playing in theaters with a blockbuster box office collection behind it. ## Other details regarding the plot and the cast of "Chandramuki 2" are yet to be announced. Chennai, Dec 25 (IANS) Actor and director Raghava Lawrence has said he will donate Rs eight lakh to Parvathi Ammal, on whose life the critically-acclaimed courtroom drama 'Jai Bhim' was based. ## Raghava, who had earlier announced that he would build a house for Parvathi Ammal and her family, has said that in the wake of the Tamil Nadu government now having announced that it would build a house for her, he will now instead donate an amount of Rs eight lakh to her. ## Raghava said, "I had promised to build a house for Parvathi Ammal after getting to know about her poverty-stricken condition from the media. I had met her in person in this regard. She had informed me that her daughter had some land in a village called Keela Naththam in Ariyalur district and wanted me to build a house for her there. We had paid a visit to the site and were about to begin work on building the structure when we got to know that the Tamil Nadu government has decided to build her a home." ## "I congratulate and express my heartfelt gratitude to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Disney Plus Hotstar has announced the release date of the most-awaited Bollywood movie, Laxmmi Bomb, and put an end on all the speculation surrounded by this. Akshay Kumar unveiled a new teaser and announced that the film will arrive on Disney+ Hotstar on Diwali this year and will be streaming online from November 9 onwards. ## The new teaser opens with a caption, "Iss Diwali aapke gharon mein "laxmmi" ke saath ek dhamakedar "bomb" bhi aayega. Raghava Lawrence, who had helmed the original, will be making his Hindi directorial debut with this one. The film also stars Kiara Advani, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharad Kelkar, Ashwini Kalsekar, and many others.## Earlier, on June 29, Disney+Hotstar had signed a multi-million deal and begged 7 Bollywood movies including Laxmi Bomb, and Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj. Laxmi Bomb was supposed to premiere during the month of September, however, due to IPL and some other reasons, the OTT giant decided against it. ## With the release date now confirmed, Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi will now clash with Laxmmi Bomb on Diwali.
