Tokyo, October 24 - SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR has had a good debut at the Japan box office, grossing approx. ¥65 million (Rs. 3.61 crores) in the opening weekend.## The movie was carrying big anticipation among the Japanese audience and the presence of Rajamaouli along with Jr. NTR and Ram Charan further raised the excitement. It opened at Rs. 1.06 crore which is the biggest for an Indian movie in Japan. ## "RRR" did see some growth on the second day for approx. Rs. 1.33 crores, followed by approx. Rs. 1.22 crores on Sunday. It was released on around 210 locations in the country, which is probably the biggest-ever release for an Indian title. ## The opening weekend total of "RRR" is probably the highest ever in Japan as far as the Indian movie is concerned. Tokyo, October 22 - SS Rajamouli's global blockbuster RRR was released in Japan on October 21, and not so surprisingly, it took the biggest opening for an Indian film over there. As per reports, the movie grossed a solid ¥18 million (Rs. 1.06 crores) on the opening day.## As per the records available, "RRR" took the biggest opening, beating Prabhas-fronted Saaho which grossed approx. 90 lakh on an opening day upon its release in Japan in 2020. "RRR" has been released in Japan amid huge anticipation and is tracking to gross ¥60 million (Rs. 3.35 crores) in the opening weekend.## The Jr. NTR and Ram Charan-fronted period action drama film is looking to become the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan. Hyderabad, October 13 - Megastar Chiranjeevi is enjoying the success of his latest hit Godfather. Though there are split opinions over the box office collection of the movie, the makers are in the mood for celebrations and have declared the film a big hit not just in India but overseas as well. ## The success of "Godfather" has come as a sigh of relief for megastar Chiranjeevi who was under pressure after the disastrous performance of his last movie Acharya. Hyderabad, October 4 - Director Mohan Raja is coming with another remake film Godfather with Megastar Chiranjeevi. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on October 5th in Telugu and Hindi. Mohan Raja is known as the remake king as 7 of his 9 previous directorial films were remade, and except for one film, all have been big hits at the box office. ## "Godfather" is Mohan Raja's only second Telugu film, despite the fact that he made his debut with the Telugu movie, titled "Hanuman Junction" in 2001. It was his Tamil movie "Thani Oruvan" (the first film with an original story) that was later remade in Telugu with Ram Charan under the title of "Dhruva".## "Dhruva" was released in 2016, and now, Mohan Raja is in talks with Ram Charan for its sequel. The sequel of the movie has been in discussion for a long time now, and now, producer NV Prasad, who produced "Dhruva", confirmed that early development for the sequel. Hyderabad, October 3 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's political action thriller film with director S. Shankar is set to be postponed from its 2023 release. The movie marks their first collaboration and it also stars Kiara Advani as the female lead. ## Tentatively titled RC15, the movie was being shot at a brisk pace, however, the shoot suddenly slowed down after Shankar resumed the shoot of Kamal Haasan's long-delayed Indian 2. It has been reported that Shankar wants to finish "Indian 2" as soon as possible on a priority basis and this has delayed the shooting of Ram Charan's film. ## According to Mirchi 9, Shankar will shoot only two short schedules of "RC15" this year and the remaining portion will be shoot next year. The report says that the movie is unlikely to release next year, and will now hit theaters in 2024, most likely on the Sankranthi occasion. ## With the shoot of "RC15" set to be delayed, it is a possibility that Ram Charan may take another film with a different director.
