Box Office: 'Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein' Re-Release Score 1 Crore Net In The Opening Weekend

Mumbai, September 2 - The re-release factor has been working well at the box office for the classic Bollywood hits for the last few months. After Rockstar and Laila Majnu, it's now turn for R. Madhavan, Dia Mirza, and Saif Ali Khan-led love story Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein which is turning out to be a success story at the box office. ## Directed by Gautham Menon, RHTDM was re-released on August 30 and did well at the box office, grossing approximately 1.20 crore (1 crore net) in its opening weekend. It scored approximately 20 lakh gross on its first day (Friday), before jumping by over 100% for approx. 45 lakh on Saturday and another 60 lakh gross on Sunday.## It now needs to see how the fair during the weekdays, which will determine how far it will go at the box office. The last couple of Bollywood re-releases did well beyond opening weekends and since RHTDM has been a popular film over the years on television, there is a chance it will repeat the success of those movies to reach a respectable total. ## RHTDM, which is a remake of the popular Tamil film Minnell, was originally released in 2001 and did decently at the box office with a worldwide gross collection of over 10 crores. The movie, however, gained popularity on television with immense repeat value over the years which is reflected in its re-release opening weekend. ##
