Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna's 'Pushpa - The Rise' To Release In Russia In Local Language

Hyderabad, September 18 - Superstar Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's action drama film Pushpa - The Rise will soon be released in Russia in the local Russian languages. ## "Pushpa - The Rise" was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021 and grossed over 360 crores worldwide. It became a huge hit in the dubbed Hindi version and the makers are giving an extra touch to its sequel to make it a true Pan-Indian film. ## Meanwhile, director Sukumar said that the first part of the movie has been dubbed and will soon be released in Russia. The film was released internationally along with the domestic release in December last year and it will now be released in Russia in the local language. ## The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media, depicts the rise of a coolie in the smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood, a rare wood that grows only in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh state. ## "Pushpa" won 7 awards in SIIMA 2022, including the Best Actor for Allu Arjun. Mumbai, March 9 - Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has come forward and donated $10 million to support Ukraine amid the war with Russia. Thousands of people have fled from Ukraine to the neighboring countries while many people have joined the Ukrainian army to fight against Russian forces. ## There have been many Hollywood stars have donated to aid Ukraine. Leonardo has a personal connection with the country as his maternal grandmother, Helene Indenbirken, was born in Odessa as Jelena Stepanovna Smirnova. She and her parents emigrated to Germany in 1917, where DiCaprio's mother was born, as per Outlook India. ## DiCaprio set aside up to USD 10 million to support Ukraine and did not intend to make the news public. The International Visegrad Fund, a Visegrad Group project aimed at providing financial support for international initiatives, made the announcement.## The "Titanic" star has long been involved in initiatives aimed at averting global warming. Mumbai, March 7 - Ukrainian actor and famous television show host, Pasha Lee was killed on Sunday (March 6) during the battle with the Russian army in Irpin on the outskirts of Kyiv. ## Pasha Lee, also known as Pavlo Li and Pasha Li, was 33 years old. Mumbai, March 1 - Warner Bros. has decided to pause the release of its highly-anticipated DC movie, "The Batman" in Russia amid the continuous invasion of Ukraine. "The Batman", starring Robert Pattinson, was slated for March 3rd release in Russia, which has now been pulled at the 11th hour.## "In light of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, WarnerMedia is pausing the release of its feature film The Batman in Russia", a WarnerMedia spokesperson said in a statement. "We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves. We hope for a swift and peaceful resolution to this tragedy". ## Apart from Warner Bros., Sony Pictures has also taken a decision to not release its upcoming movies in Russia, including the high-profile Marvel pic "Morbius", starring Jared Leto. "Morbius" was slated for January 28 release this year, but now, postponed to April 1st.## "Given the ongoing military action in Ukraine and the resulting uncertainty and humanitarian crisis unfolding in that region, we will be pausing our planned theatrical releases in Russia, including the upcoming release of Morbius", a Sony spokesperson said late Monday.## Russia has been one of the biggest international markets for Hollywood films. The recently released Sony's "Spider-Man: No Way Home" has so far grossed $44.5 million in Russia since its debut in December 2021. ## It is to be known that Disney was the first to take the decision of not releasing its film in Russia. Ukrainian Film Academy Urges For International Boycott Of Russian Cinema After Invasion

Mumbai, February 27 - Following Russia's military invasion of Ukraine earlier this week, the Ukrainian Film Academy, the national group representing the country's film professionals, has urged the international authorities to boycott Russian cinema and the Russian film industry. ## According to The Hollywood Reporter, an online petition has been filed in which Academy has called on producers to stop licensing Russian movies and series, for international festivals to ban Russian films from their line-ups and for international producers to terminate any business dealings with Russian companies.## "Several films made by Russia are regularly admitted to the programs of most world film festivals, and significant resources are spent on their promotion", the petition by Ukrainian Academy reads (via THR). "We urge you to terminate all contracts with them. Remember that the business that will use your films pays taxes to the Russian budget, which finances the army that violated the borders of an independent state and buys missiles to bomb the civilian population of Europe", the statement reads.## Specifically, the Academy is calling on producers and license holders, which include Hollywood studios, to "terminate any business with business entities of the Russian Federation and not to transfer intellectual property rights to any films to the territory of the Russian Federation".## Meanwhile, there have already been cultural sanctions on Russia, with the European Broadcasting Union on Friday banning Russia from participating in its hugely-popular Eurovision Song Contest in the wake of the Ukraine invasion, besides other economical sanctions by Western governments, including the U.S., European Union, the U.K. and Canada. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, October 6 - A Russian film "The Challange" has started the historic production after taking the outer space route on October 5. Director Klim Shipenko and actress Yulia Peresild are the first in the world to shot a feature film entirely in orbit, dashing Tom Cruise's dream of being the first to shoot a film in space. ## The director-actress pair beat out thousands of hopefuls to win the opportunity of making their film aboard the International Space Station. The duo launched into space on October 5 where they will shoot for 12 days. Russian Federal Space Agency, Roscosmos, and Russian state TV Channel One are jointly producing the film.## A Russian commission of medical and safety experts had recently approved a plan for an actress and a director to blast off early October to film the first full-length, fictional movie in space. "The Challenge," tells the story of a doctor launched on short notice to the International Space Station to save the life of a cosmonaut.## Seasoned astronaut Anton Shkaplerov has also gone with them on the expedition and he will act as mission commander. He has also been tapped to moonlight as an actor in the film. Peresild and Shkaplerov will take on additional production roles, acting as a costume designer and makeup artist, and Director of Photography respectively owing to the limited crew size.## To prepare for the mission, both Klim Shipenko and Yulia Peresild had undergone a rigorous three-month training program, including learning the basics of space survival, completing zero gravity, centrifuge, and vibration tests, and practicing for in-flight emergencies.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, September 19, 2021: A new space race is heating up between the two rivals, the USA and Russia, this time, however, for a different purpose. More than 60 years after the erstwhile Soviet Union beat the United States into orbit with the launch of its Sputnik satellite, the country is again leading the race in the entertainment field. ## According to reports, Russia has announced plans to produce a feature film titled "The Challenge" in outer space, allowing itself to become the first country to do so. If all goes well, the production team will lift off next month on a 12-day mission to pull off the historic first, beating Tom Cruise's untitled passion project. ## A Russian commission of medical and safety experts approved a plan for an actress and a director to blast off early next month to film the first full-length, fictional movie in space. "The Challenge," tells of a doctor launched on short notice to the International Space Station to save the life of a cosmonaut.## "For the first two seconds it's scary", Yulia Peresild, who is on track to become the first actor in space said according to New York Times, of her training on an airplane flight that briefly created a microgravity environment. "After that, it's beautiful".## Last year NASA announced that it was partnering with Elon Musk's SpaceX and Tom Cruise to shoot a movie that would be partly filmed aboard the International Space Station. The Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman is also attached to helm the project, which set the minimum budget of $200 million. However, with no shooting timeline set for Cruise's film yet, it is set to lose the space race against Russian production. ## Meanwhile, the launch of the "The Challenge" crew is expected to take place on October 5th. Channel One will live stream the event internationally with, Channel One CEO Konstantin Ernst calling it "a breathtaking reality show and a chance to attract millions of TV viewers".
