There is nothing left for Sacred Games 3, says Nawazuddin Siddiqui

The highly acclaimed and one of the most popular Netflix series Sacred Games' third season seems out of the question. Nawazuddin Siddiqui who was hailed for his role in the series and acquired a new level of fame says that there is nothing left in Vikram Chandra's novel that can be put in Season 3.## Speaking to a leading portal, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, "Sacred Games got the kind of worldwide acclaim that none of us associated with the series had seen before. I remember shooting in Rome for Tannishta Chatterjee’s film and over there too there were so many people talking to me about Sacred Games. So we all felt it was right to do it again, and we did a second season".## Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap, Nawazuddin Siddiqui admits that the second season was a disappointment as the intentions behind it were not sincere. "Perhaps, somewhere the intention behind Season 2 was not as sincere as the first time. I admit Sacred Games 2 was a disappointment", he said. ## As for season 3, the actor said, "Whatever had to be said from the original novel has already been said. There is nothing left in Vikram Chandra’s novel to be put in Season 3".## When asked about his character in Sacred Games and the dialogues were very popular, the actor politely said the credit must go to writers who wrote the dialogues that became famous.## "I can't take credit for the popularity of the lines that I spoke. I didn't write them. In India, we often give credit to the actor for a popular line. In Yash Chopra Saab's Deewaar, Shashi Kapoor Saab spoke the line, 'Mere Paas Maa Hai'. But, it was Salim-Javed who wrote that line. So the credit must go to them", he added. ## Sacred Games is a crime mystery thriller series of which the second season was nominated for the International Emmy Award 2019 in the best drama category. The series also starred Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Pankaj Tripathi, Ranvir Shorey, Kalki Koechlin in the prominent roles. ## Stay tuned...

'Sacred Games' or 'Mirzapur': Pankaj Tripathi reveals which needed more research

New Delhi, April 11 (IANS) One of contemporary Bollywood's most talented actors, Pankaj Tripathi, has been outstanding in almost all his roles. With the ongoing lockdown restricting viewers to their homes, we trained to focus on Pankaj's OTT performances, since these can be enjoyed within the confines of the living room.## His two notable acts in the world of web series have been Kaleen bhaiya in "Mirzapur" and Guruji in "Sacred Games". Both performances gained a major fan base. Personally, the actor finds it difficult to choose which among the two is his favorite .## "It would be like choosing between two children. Both characters are close to me, both have required a lot of hard work," Pankaj told IANS while cooking a meal amid the 21-day lockdown.## "Both of them have been very challenging. However, for Guruji, I had to research more as I have seen something like Kaleen bhaiya's life in my Purvanchal days. But I would not differentiate as both roles required a lot of hard work," he said.## "Mirzapur" follows the life of Akhandanand Tripathi, or Kaleen bhaiya, a mafia boss played by Pankaj, while in "Sacred Games" he plays the power-hungry spiritual leader "Guruji".## Currently, Pankaj, who is also a professional chef, is getting ample time to spend with his family due to the 21-day lockdown.## He reveals he has been "spending time cooking, and also with wife and kids".## Lately, he has been helping his wife Mridula in making a homemade mask and has also turned into a writer, penning all his thoughts.## Stay tuned...
