From high-energy entertainment to grounded storytelling, these releases catered to varied tastes — but one film clearly raced ahead in collections and crowd response. Dude, starring Pradeep Ranganathan, emerged as the festival’s undisputed winner. The film stormed the box office with an impressive ₹30.75 crore (India net) in its opening weekend, backed by strong occupancy across urban and family audiences. With a worldwide total of ₹52 crore, including ₹15.75 crore from overseas markets, Dude has proven its wide appeal. India's gross of ₹36.25 crore reflects a solid festive turnout and a strong word-of-mouth push that could sustain its momentum well into the week. The film’s fun narrative and youthful energy seem to have struck the right chord with the audience. Bison, starring Dhruv Vikram and directed by Maari Selvaraj, took a different route altogether — more emotional and raw in tone. Despite facing stiff competition, it managed a ₹10.60 crore (India net) weekend.
