Mumbai, April 21 - Sunny Deol's action drama Jaat has entered the 100 crores club at the worldwide box office, becoming the actor's third film to achieve the feat. It is Sunny's second consecutive movie to hit the milestone after Gadar 2. ## Directed by Gopichand Mallineni, Jaat hit 100 crores gross on its 11th day after grossing approximately 88 crores in India and 12+ crores gross at the overseas box office. It is only the 4th Bollywood and 11th Indian movie of 2025 to enter this prestigious box office club.## Jaat proves to be the second consecutive success for Sunny Deol after the mega blockbuster Gadar 2: The Katha Continues. Before G2, the actor's Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was the only 100 crores grosser at the worldwide box office with 132+ crores (without inflation). ## The latest hit has a chance to become Sunny's second biggest grosser, but it needs to hold extremely well in the coming days to achieve that desired result. Mumbai, April 21 - Rani Mukerji's highly anticipated cop action thriller Mardaani 3, from Yash Raj Films, is set to hit the big screens on Holi 2026. The studio unveiled the fierce first look poster and the official release date. ## Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the third instalment of the hit franchise has been announced for a February 27, 2026, theatrical release, a week before the Holi festival. Mumbai, April 20 - The Akshay Kumar-led historical drama Kesari: Chapter 2 has a decent opening weekend at the domestic box office with around 30 crores net collection, thanks to an impressive growth on Saturday and Sunday after the partial holiday opening day. ## According to early estimates, the movie scored around 12-13 net on its first Sunday/third day, a jump of around 30% from Saturday. The film had opened to around 7.75 crores net (Good Friday), followed by 9.75 crores net on Saturday and witnessed further growth on Sunday to clock a better-than-expected weekend. ## Kesari 2 is more like an urban movie, but due to its patriotic theme, it is also attracting audiences from smaller centres. The positive trend over the weekend resulted in a surge in showcasing as the film has a limited release on around 1700 screens. ## The word of mouth is super positive, and the demand among the moviegoers for the film over the weekend suggests the film is likely to have a solid hold on Monday, which is crucial for the film's success. ## Meanwhile, Sunny Deol-fronted action drama Jaat scored a good second Sunday for an estimated around 5-5.50 crores net, for a decent second weekend of around 13 crores net. The total collection of the film has reached 74.50+ crores in 10 days. ## The positive response to Kesari 2 didn't let Jaat score bigger growth, which looked possible before the former's release. Mumbai, April 19 - After a decent opening day, superstar Akshay Kumar's historical drama Kesari: Chapter 2 has witnessed a fantastic growth on day 2, Saturday, as collection flirting with the double digit mark which is very good given the fact that the opening day was a holiday. ## Kesari 2 has a growth of 25%-35% today, as early estimates suggest the collection to be in the range of 9.50-10 crores net, which is superb. The total collection of the movie is around 17.25+ crores in 2 days, putting the weekend on track for around 30 crores. ## While the overall collection of the movie is decent, the jump in collection after the partial holiday has put Kesari 2 in a much better position, as it has managed to strike a chord with its target audience. The word of mouth is supremely positive, which is expected to play its part during weekdays. ## Meanwhile, Sunny Doel's action drama Jaat maintained the steady hold as collections are more or less similar from the second Friday, which was a partial holiday. According to the early estimates, the film is looking to score 3.75-4 crores net on the second day/day 10. ## The total collection of Jaat is around 69.50 crores net in 10 days, heading for around 73-75 crores through the second weekend. Mumbai, April 19 - Superstar Mohanlal's action thriller L2: Empuraan is nearing its box office run but not before creating history for Malayalam cinema. The movie has emerged as the highest-grossing Mollywood film ever. ## Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film has grossed 266+ crores at the worldwide box office so far. In India, it has minted around 124 crores gross, while overseas collection is around 142 crores. L2 is the biggest Malayalam grosser at the domestic as well as overseas box office, while it will finish as the second biggest grosser in Kerala, behind 2018. ## Meanwhile, the makers have revealed that the total business of Empuraan is 325 crores, which includes theatrical and non-theatrical business (so far). There have been rumours that the film's OTT and satellite rights were sold for 100 crores, but the latest update from the makers reveals that non-theatrical rights are not more than 60 crores.## The non-theatrical rights of the movie are said to be the second highest ever for a Malayalam film, behind Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha. The political controversy around the movie has put a dent in Empuraan's OTT rights otherwise, it could have scored the biggest deal. ## Empuraan is produced by Aashirvad Cinemas in association with Sree Gokulam Movies. Mumbai, April 19 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited action drama King is generating a significant buzz even though the makers are taking longer than expected to take it on the floors. The movie reunites King Khan with director Siddharth Anand after the mega blockbuster Pathaan. King features SRK in the title role alongside his daughter Suhana Khan (in her big-screen debut), Abhishek Bachchan and Munjya fame Abhay Varma. Now, according to the latest report by Peepingmoon.com, the makers have roped in Arshad Warsi to play a key role in the film. While details about Warsi's character remain undisclosed, his involvement is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the film. The upcoming films marks the duo's maiden collaboration, excluding Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye in which SRK made a guest appearnce. Recently, it was reported that Deepika Padukone would make a cameo appearance in King, but director Siddharth Anand seemingly denied the rumours. However, reports strongly say that she will be part of the movie despite the refusal from the team. King will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Anand's Marflix. Chennai, April 19 - Thala Ajith Kumar's action comedy Good Bad Ugly has surpassed 200 crores gross worldwide, becoming the first Tamil movie of the year. The movie entered this prestigious club on its 9th day as one of the fastest Tamil titles to do so. ## GBU has been doing excellent business since its opening day and eventually stormed past the double century at the global box office. In the 9 days so far, the film has grossed approximately 205+ crores, and with this, it has also become the biggest grosser for the Tamil superstar, beating Viswasam and Thunivu. ## In India, the blockbuster has grossed around 148 crores, which includes around 123 crores gross collection in the home state, Tamil Nadu. It is now Ajith Kumar's second biggest grosser in the state behind Viswasam. Overseas, the film has minted an estimated 57 crores so far. ## Good Bad Ugly is expected to see big gains on the second Saturday and Sunday, and at this point, it looks certain to enter the 250 crores club, which will be the first for AK. Mumbai, April 17 - Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has reunited with his director father David Dhawan for a comic caper Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which is currently on floors. Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde are playing the female leads.## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the team has completed over 50% of the film shoot, and the next month-long schedule is set to take place in Scotland, starting from April 22. Mumbai, April 17 - The sequel to Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor's cult comedy No Entry (2005) has been in development for a long time with a new cast featuring Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles. Anees Bazmee has written the script and will return to direct it. ## According to the latest reports, the makers have locked Tamannaah Bhatia to play one of the female lead roles. The actress has reportedly signed the project and is excited to explore the comedy genre. It is said that she will be seen in a role similar to Bipasha Basu's character from the original movie.## Apart from Tamannah, the makers are in talks with Aditi Rao Hydari about playing another female lead. While her casting hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, reports suggest that if finalised, the actress will bring a unique dynamic to the ensemble.
