Akshay Kumar's 'Sky Force' OTT Release Date Revealed

Mumbai, March 19 - Superstar Akshay Kumar's aerial action thriller Sky Force was one of the first big Bollywood releases of the year. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, the film was released on January 24 and did decently at the box office. ## Produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Sky Force is hailed as one of the best Bollywood films of 2025 so far, so there is a demand for the movie on streaming platforms from OTT audiences. Amazon Prime Video has post-theatrical streaming rights to the movie and the streamer confirmed on Wednesday that it will start streaming on March 21. ## The movie will complete 8 weeks (56 days) of its theatrical run, a minimum window before the films are made available OTT. On Amazon Prime Video, it will stream in India and across 240 countries and territories globally from March 21. ## Sky Force is based on the real events. It unravels a compelling story that offers a glimpse into one of India's first and deadliest airstrikes on Pakistan. Akshay Kumar's 'Sky Force' Censor Certificate And Theatrical Runtime Revealed

Mumbai, January 16 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's war action thriller Sky Force is gearing up for release on January 24, during the Republic Day weekend. The movie is co-directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur. ## With nearly a week to go for release, the film was censored on January 16. According to the reports, Sky Force has been censored with a U/A 13+ certificate and the approved theatrical runtime of 125 minutes (2 hours and 5 minutes) by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). ## The official plot summary of the movie reveals, "Sky Force unravels a gripping tale inspired by true events from one of the deadliest air strikes between India and Pakistan. Producer Dinesh Vijan Reacts On Producer Naga Vamsi's Derogatory Comments On Bollywood Industry

Mumbai, January 5 - Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has reacted to the recent comments made by Telugu producer Naga Vamsi on the Bollywood film industry. During a roundtable interaction of filmmakers, Vamsi said that while the South industry is going Pan India, Bollywood filmmakers are making films only for Juhu and Bandra in a seemingly arrogant tone. ## During Sky Force's trailer launch event, producer Dinesh Vijan was asked to react to Vamsi's derogatory remarks. The filmmaker, who has been in top form with back-to-back big successes, made a very dignified response without showing Vamsi and South industry in a bad light. ## Speaking about the same, Vijan said that since the pandemic, there are 5 Hindi films (Pathaan, Jawan, Gadar 2, Animal, and Stree 2) which has crossed 500 crore net collection which didn't exist earlier. He said that just because Bollywood filmmakers don't speak about or brag about those successes, the fact is that we have 5 huge films (since Covid-19). ## Without gunning down the entire South industry, Vijan said that there might be 1 or 2 people who speak like that but whenever he has gone to South, they (South filmmakers) have been very encouraging. Director Prashanth Neel Confirms 'Salaar: Ceasefire' Is An Outright Telugu Movie And Dubbed Into Other Language

Mumbai, December 19 - Director Prashanth Neel has been honest in sharing details about his upcoming blockbuster Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, starring superstar Prabhas in the title role. He has said in the past that his filmmaking style is not giving life lessons to anyone but to entertain the paying audiences. ## Ever since "Salaar" was announced, it has been perceived as a Telugu-Kannada bilingual movie since the movie is produced by Kannada production house Hombale Films and stars a Telugu superstar. However, putting all the pre-assumptions to rest, director Neel confirmed in a recent interview that "Salaar" is an outrightly a Telugu movie and has been dubbed in 4 other languages including Kannada. ## Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is playing one of the main leads, also shared that it was primarily shot in Telugu and then was dubbed into other languages. Mumbai, November 30 - The second instalment of the anthology film Lust Stories has been the most popular Indian streaming film of 2023 so far, as per the IMDb rating which is determined by the page views on the website. The movies on the list are the ones released between the period of January 1 - November 6. ## Lust Stories 2, which was released on June 29, scored 18.5 million viewing hours in the first three weeks on Netflix. Even though the numbers are lower than many films released this year on Netflix, the film attracted audience attention due to its solid casting and content. ## Kareena Kapoor's Jaane Jaan is the second most popular Indian streaming movie of the year. It was a big success for Netflix and in the first three weeks, it scored 38 million viewing hours. Actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas Shows Immense Faith In 'Chatrapathi' Hindi Remake

Mumbai, May 3 - Amid not so great environment for remakes, Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas' Chatrapathi will be trying its luck at the box office next Friday (May 12). It is the remake of SS Rajamouli and Prbhas' "Chatrapathi" (2005) which was a huge hit in Telugu. ## The teaser and trailer of the "Chatrapathi" Hindi remake have received appreciation, however, the trade is not looking too excited about the film's prospect at the box office. Bellamkonda Sreenivas' Telugu films have garnered massive viewership on YouTube in the dubbed Hindi version, however, those don't guarantee at the box office. ## BS Sreenivas is not a popular name among Hindi audiences, but the actor is leaving no stone unturned to leave a mark on his Bollywood debut. Mumbai, April 7 - Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal's heist thriller film Chor'Nikal Ke Bhaga has turned out to be a big hit for Netflix. ## Directed by Ajay Singh, the film is creating waves worldwide, trending in 10 in 61 countries. It garnered 29 million viewing hours globally in the first two weeks of its launch which is the highest ever for an Indian title on Netflix. ## After debuting at number 3 with 11.7 million viewing hours in the first weekend for non-English films, "Chor'Nikal Ke Bhaga" scored 17.3 million viewing hours during the second week (March 27 - April 2) and was the second most-watched non-English film on Netflix. ## SS Rajamouli's global sensation, RRR (Hindi) had scored 25.54 million viewing hours in the first two weeks and is now the second most watched Indian title at the same time.
