Sony Pictures Films India Announces A Supernatural Thriller Film 'Adbhut' Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Diana Penty, & Shreya Dhanwanthary

Mumbai, October 6 - Sony Pictures Films India has announced a supernatural thriller film, which will be directed by Sabbir Khan (Heropanti, Baaghi, Nikamma). The film, which features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Diana Penty, and Shreya Dhanwanthary in the leading roles along with Rohan Mehra, has been titled "Adbhut". ## The film marks Sabbir Khan's second collaboration with Nawazuddin Siddiqui after the 2017 action-dance film Munna Michael and with Sony India after his yet-to-be-released feature "Nikamma", starring Shilpa Shetty, Abhimanyu Dasani, and Shirley Setia in the lead roles. ## Scheduled to be released in 2022, "Adbhut" is backed and produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Sabbir Khan Films. The shooting of the film has begun in a studio in Mumbai. ## "After Nikamma, this is the second film that will be produced by Sony Pictures Films India and Sabbir Khan Films. We always seem to be on the same page when it comes to cinematic experiences and creative direction and we are equally excited about this story that brings together a powerhouse ensemble like Nawazuddin, Diana, Shreya, and Rohan. Shirley Setia: I get nervous and scared while talking to strangers

Mumbai, March 28 (IANS) New Zealand-based singer-actress Shirley Setia is all set to make her Bollywood debut this year. But before that, she has already just featured in the Netflix film, "Maska".## In the movie, Shirley plays a blogger. Talking about her character, the actress said: "My character's name is Persis. She is a very strong-headed girl. She is independent. She is very passionate about stories and finding out people's stories. She is a blogger. So you will always see her with a camera and a voice recorder."## "She talks to people and writes about them in her blog. She is making a new book about Irani cafes and their culture, about the people related to the Irani cafes. Not just the people who own them but also the regular customers who have a lot of memories with such cafes. That's how she meets Rumi (played by Prit Kamani) and the story unfolds," said Shirley sharing further details about the story.## The actress then shared her similarities with her own screen character. When quizzed about the same, Shirley thought for a while and said: "Some things I relate to like her passion for stories. I've always been very passionate about stories even when I was just a singer. I still sing. When you are writing a song, you want to put a story in it which the audience and your fans can relate to. So, I related to her passion for stories. There are some aspects of her character which I might not absolutely agree with. I guess that's where we differ. But both of us are quite independent and strong-headed. We know what we want to do, how we want to focus on things."## Being an introvert person, it was not easy to play a blogger, especially because she gets nervous and scared while talking to strangers revealed the newcomer. She said: "It was a little difficult because I am an introvert person. When you are a blogger, you have to go to random people, talk to them, take their pictures, you have to be out of your comfort zone. This was very difficult for me because I get very scared and nervous while talking to strangers."## However, things became easier after a few workshops. "Our director did workshops with us and put me in such a situation that I had to go talk to random people as Persis and ask them their stories. It was unexpected but helped me understand the mindset of the character. She is free and doesn't care about what people think of her. She does what she feels is right. I wish I could also be like that," expressed Shirley.## Even though brought up in New Zealand, the 24-year-old actress speaks fluent Hindi. Talking about the same, she revealed: "We speak in Hindi at home. Also, when I was in high school, I used to work as a radio jockey in a Hindi radio station in New Zealand."## On the work front, Shirley is set to make her Bollywood debut with Sabbir Khan's "Nikamma" where she stars alongside Shilpa Shetty and Abhimanyu Dassani.## Meanwhile, her Netflix debut film "Maska" premiered yesterday. Shirley Setia: My real journey has just started

Pune, March 9 (IANS) From singing covers on YouTube to performing live at concerts and now making her acting debut in the Bollywood film 'Nikamma', 24-year-old Shirley Setia has come a long way. But she feels 'it's just the beginning'.## "There's so much to do and explore in life. I am glad that Indian industry-accepted me and welcomed me with open arms. I agree it was not easy for me to become an online sensation...there was a lot of hard work involved, but still there is a long way to go. I have so much to learn and experience. My real journey has just started," Shirley told IANS on the sidelines of the Gaana Crossblade Punjabi Music Festival in Pune.## Shirley was a little kid when she had to leave India and move to New Zealand with her family. She actually rose to fame in 2013 after she won a competition organized by T-Series. She recorded the popular Hindi song "Tum Hi Ho" that gathered a lot of views on YouTube. And when she was 21, she came back to her roots to make a name for herself here.## On bagging the acting project, Shirley expressed her happiness and shared her experience working with co-star Shilpa Shetty Kundra.## "You know it feels blessed to work with such talented artists. Shilpa ma'am made me comfortable a lot. She taught me so many things -- especially how to remain fit. I am really excited for my debut film," she quipped.## Directed by Sabbir Khan, "Nikamma" also features Abhimanyu Dassani, who is actress Bhagyashree's son. I am trying to preserve the roots and heritage of the Parsi culture. My character wants to preserve her Irani Cafe and restaurants as she wants to carry on her husband''s legacy."## An extremely passionate person about the family and culture, Diana is extremely protective of her son, Rumi and wants him to carry forth the family legacy. Bhagyashree: Recall of separation from hubby still scares me

Mumbai, March 1 (IANS) Actress Bhagyashree shot to fame with her 1989 debut film 'Maine Pyar Kiya' opposite Salman Khan. Then, even as she was being touted as Bollywood's next big thing, she announced her marriage to Himalaya, who was an aspiring actor then, and subsequently became a businessman. The early marriage took a toll on her fledgling career and she never quite managed to make a comeback. ## While Bhagyashree and hubby Himalaya have always known to be deeply in love, she has now revealed that there was a one-and-a-half year phase when she had to stay away from him. ## In a video posted by celebrity lensperson Viral Bhayani on Instagram, the 51-year-old actress is seen interacting at an event. In the video, she says: "Himalaya ji was my first love and, yes, I got married to him. Lekin ek arsa tha beech mein jab hum juda ho gaye the (However, there was a period of time in between when we were separated)." ## Bhagyashree continued to say that the period of separation made her mull over the question of what would happen if she had not married Himalaya. "I had that feeling that 'what if I hadn't got him in my life and I had married someone else?' It got me to that stage because there was a period of a year and a half that we weren't together. Woh ehsaas abhi bhi yaad aata hai toh darr lagta hai (recalling that feeling still scares me)." ## Back in the day, it had been reported how Bhagyashree and Himalaya got married in a hush-hush temple ceremony against the wishes of their parents, in the presence of Salman and "Maine Pyar Kiya" director Sooraj Barjatya among a handful of close friends and colleagues. ## Bhagyashree's son Abhimanyu Dassani is now an aspiring actor.
