Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna's Action Comedy With Director Anees Bazmee Gets Shelved?

Mumbai, August 13 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor and director Anees Bazmee teamed up for an action-comedy film. Rashmika Mandanna was on board to play the female lead in the movie that was supposed to go on floors by August this year. But now, things seem to have changed regarding this much-awaited collaboration.## According to Pinkvilla, Shahid Kapoor and Anees Bazmee have decided to part ways on this project over creative differences. The movie has reportedly been shelved for now but the future course of action will be decided soon. Telugu producer Dil Raju was the producer of the movie.## Shahid Kapoor was supposed to play a double role in the movie, tentatively titled "Ek Saath Do Do" or "Double Trouble". The "Kabir Singh" actor will now be doing Malayalam filmmaker Roshan Andrews-directed thriller movie, titled "Koi Shaq". Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Zee Studios, the movie will go on floors in September for a 2024 release.## Anees Bazmee, meanwhile, will be directing Kartik Aaryan-led "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3" from early next year. Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, and Karan Johar Among Others Invited to Join Film Academy As Members

Los Angeles, June 29 - Indian stars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan along with filmmakers Karan Johar, Mani Ratnam, and Siddharth Roy Kapur, are among the 398 artists and executives from around the world who have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences this year, the Oscar-dispensing organization announced Wednesday. ## If all of this year's invitees accept membership, it will bring the total number of overall Academy members to 10,817 (up from 10,665 last year), with 9,375 eligible to vote (a decrease from 9,665 due to deaths, retirements, and moving to emeritus status) for the 96th Oscars, set to take place on March 10, 2024, according to Variety.## "RRR" stars, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan get an invitation in the actors' category while Karan Johar and Siddharth Roy Kapur have been named in the producers' category whereas Mani Ratnam's name is mentioned amongst the directors. Meanwhile, Apart from Charan and NTR, the Academy has also invited K.K. Senthil Kumar (cinematographer), Chandrabose (music), M.M. Shahid Kapoor To Headline Director Rosshan Andrrews' Action Thriller Film

Mumbai, May 25 - Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has been roped in to headline Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews' action thriller film. The yet-untitled movie will jointly be produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films. ## The upcoming movie marks the maiden Bollywood movie of director Andrrews who is known for Malayalam blockbusters such as "Mumbai Police" and "Kayamkulam Kochunni" while it also marks the first time that Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films have worked together. ## Shahid Kapoor said, "It's rare to find a subject that has action, thrill, drama, and suspense all packed into one script and I am really looking forward to this. Mumbai, March 17 - Over the last couple of days, there have been rumors that Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur's biopic war drama film Pippa would skip the conventional theatrical release to go for the direct-to-digital release. It was reported that the makers are having issues with multiplex owners over the big-screen release of the film. ## Now, the makers have issued a statement regarding the rumours and said that there is no truth in such reports. Ishaan Khattar and Mrunal Thakur's War Drama 'Pippa' Postponed To 2024?

Mumbai, February 27 - Back in 2020, producer Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur came together to announce the war drama movie Pippa, starring Ishaan Khattar and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. ## "Airlift" director Raja Krishna Menon helmed the movie, based on the book The Burning Chaffees by Balram Singh Mehta who fought during the Indo-Pak war in 1971. Khattar has played the role of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta.## The movie was originally announced to release in 2021, before makers postponed it to December 2, 2022, due to the covid-19 pandemic which delayed the shoot. When it was looking on track for December 2022 release, the makers postponed it again due to an unknown reason and they are yet to lock the new release date. ## The makers are eyeing only theatrical release as the film is made for the big screen. Now, according to the latest reports, "Pippa" won't be released anytime soon, and there are chances it will only release in 2024 on the silver screen. ## According to PeepingMoon, "Pippa" has returned to the editing table as the final product failed to match the criteria required to get a go-ahead from the producers.
