Five Confirmed MCU Titles That Weren't Announced At SDCC 2022

Los Angeles, July 27 - Marvel Studios once again has proved that it is way ahead of its competitors and certainly the biggest movie brand in the world. After the "Avengers: Endgame", there were a lot of questions about what is next in the store Marvel, but now, Marvel has answered all the questions at once by lining up titles till 2025. ## At the San Diego Cinema-Con 2022, held a couple of days ago, Marvel Studios revealed its theatrical and streaming plans till 2025 in Phase 5 and 6 apart from the ongoing Phase 4 which will conclude with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in November this year. Phase 5 will start with "Ant-Man 3" (Feb. 17, 2023) and will conclude with "Thunderbolts" (July 26, 2024). ## Taking a step ahead, Marvel also announced Phase 6, in which 11 titles have been announced, including two new Avengers movies that will release in May and November 2025 and "Fantastic Four" (Nov. 8, 2024). Meanwhile, Marvel also confirmed the release dates of 8 untitled movies in Phase 6. While the studio surprisingly has not revealed the titles of those films, there are at least 5 projects that are confirmed to fill those slots. ## 1. Shang-Chi 2 - The sequel to 2021's blockbuster has already been announced and will surely take one of the slots in Phase 6. Director Destin Daniel Cretton, who has been attached to direct "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty", will return to helm "Shang-Chi 2" while Simu Liu will be reprising the title role. ## 2. Deadpool 3 - Another anticipated Marvel movie that was not announced officially at Cinema-Con but it will come out sometimes in 2024 or 2025. Ryan Reynolds will return to reprise his role in this R-rated film. Deadpool 3 writer Rhett Reese recently teased the plot details and confirmed that the movie will keep its R-rated tone. ## 3. Spider-Man 4 - Sony Pictures confirmed after the release of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" that they are working on one more Spider-Man trilogy with Tom Holland. It is almost confirmed that the next Spider-Man movie will debut in Phase 6 and is likely to release in late 2024. ## 4. Nova - Earlier this year, Deadline reported that "Moon Knight" writer Sabir Pirzada has been attached to write a Nova project for Marvel. While it is not yet confirmed whether it will be a feature film or a limited series for Disney+, it will surely debut in Phase 6. If reports are to be believed, it will be a feature film. ## 5. Armor Wars - One of the most exciting projects that was not announced in SDCC 2022, due to unknown reasons. However, the show's head writer Yassir Lester confirmed that the show hasn't been canceled. Though there is no shooting timeline set yet, the show will most likely to release in MCU's Phase 6. ## Apart from the aforementioned titles that are almost confirmed to release in Phase 6, the other projects that could fill these gaps are The Mutants or another X-Men series/film, Young Avengers, Hawkeye Season 2, Eternals 2, the already-announced Ten Rings series, a Wakanda series, Doctor Strange 3, and Thor 5. ## Stay tuned...

'Shang-Chi' Star Simu Liu Reveals Why He Chose Margot Robbie's 'Barbie'

Los Angeles, May 17 - Simu Liu, who headlined Marvel Studios' "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" last year, will next be seen in "Barbie". The movie, fronted by Margot Robbie, is the first-ever live-action film based on the fashion doll after a series of animated films and television series. ## Simu Liu in a recent interview with GQ UK revealed that he had almost a zero idea about the movie when he agreed to audition for a role in the movie and revealed that it was a junior agent at his management customer who advised him to take up the movie after he told it is one of the best scripts ever. ## "He literally said this verbatim", Liu told. "He was like, 'If I could stake my career on any one script, it's the Barbie script. I really think you should do it". He said that he sent in a self-tape audition which led director Greta Gerwig to request an in-person meeting. ## Simu Liu, wanting to grab a role in the film, told the filmmaker about his dance history with a competitive hip-hop team. "She audibly guffawed, she giggle-screamed — and then I got the part", Liu said.## The "Shang-Chi" actor described "Barbie" as wild and incredibly unique, adding, "I wish I could just show you what we do day-to-day because it's crazy". The film is not a musical, but Liu said he's been in dance rehearsals aplenty for the movie. The actor also teased what it's like working on a Greta Gerwig set. "When you're doing a scene and it's working, you hear, 'HAHAHAHA!' It's the best feeling in the world. If you're an asshole on a Greta Gerwig set, there's no hope for you", he said. ## Produced by LuckyChap Entertainment, Mattel Films, and Heyday Films, "Barbie" also stars Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Ariana Greenblatt, and Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Issa Rae, Michael Cera, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell in supporting roles. ## The movie will be released on July 21, 2023, by Warner Bros.## Stay tuned...

Box Office: James Bond 'No Time To Die' Storms Past $300M Worldwide; 'Shang-Chi' Crosses $400M Globally

Mumbai, October 10 - James Bond "No Time To Die" opened with $56 million at the North America box office, very much in line with the industry's early box office projection of $55M-$60M. Daniel Craig's final outing as 007, the movie scored the fifth-best domestic opening during the covid-19 pandemic. ## The pre-ticket sales of "No Time To Die" had better than "Venom - Let There Be Carnage" and the Hollywood industry insider had hoped to cross $60 million in its domestic launch. However, it was always going to be an uphill task for the movie as unlike the recent Hollywood pics, the Bond movie has always been fueled in large part by moviegoers 35 and older. ## It was still a good start for the Bond pic as recent reports suggest that the movie-going confidence is getting back among the older audiences, thanks to the rapid vaccination against the virus. According to The Hollywood Reporter, 57 percent of ticket buyers were over the age of 35, including 36 percent over 45 years old. The male audience is turning into large numbers as 64 percent of ticket buyers are male. ## Meanwhile, despite the above par opening domestic weekend, "No Time To Die" continues to score big in the international market. The Bond pic stormed past $300 million worldwide after grossing an estimated $89.5M internationally in the second weekend, taking its total overseas collection to $257M.
