Rohit Shetty Announces Re-Release of Superhit 'Singham'
Mumbai, October 11 - Maverick filmmaker Rohit Shetty and the team have announced the re-release of Ajay Devgn-starrer Singham (2011) ahead of the release of Singham Again which is scheduled for Diwali 2024 launch. ## Singham, which was the first movie in Shetty's Cop Universe, will be re-released in cinemas on October 18 across the country. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, Sonali Kulkarni, Sachin Khedekar, Govind Namdev, Ashok Saraf, and Murali Sharma, among others in key roles. ## A remake of the 2010 Tamil film of the same title by Hari, Singham was originally released in July 2011 and was a big box office success. The movie grossed 130 crores at the domestic box office and approximately 20.50 crores overseas for a worldwide total of 150+ crore. It was one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of the year. ## Singham Returns, the sequel was released in 2014 and bettered the box office performance over its predecessor by grossing over 200 crores worldwide.
