Mumbai, January 12 - Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana has reportedly confirmed to headline the biopic of former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly. "Lootera" director Vikramaditya Motwane has been attached to direct this ambitious film, to be produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. ## It was reported last year that the supremely talented actor was in talks to play the larger-than-life role of Sourav Ganguly in his biopic and after months of speculations, Ayushmann has now officially signed to headline the film, according to Peepinmoon.com. ## "Producers Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, who are producing this film under their Luv Films banner, have hit a six by bringing together Ayushmann Khurrana and Vikramaditya Motwane. Both have established themselves as formidable forces with an incredible body of work throughout the years", the report says. ## The stakeholders are jubilant to bring Ayushmann Khurrana and Vikramaditya Motwane and the kind of cinematic masterpiece they are set to create together. The director has already begun working on the pre-production while Ayushmann will soon start his preparation for his role and will reportedly undergo months of intense cricket training before starting the shoot. ## The official announcement of the film will soon be made and it is expected to go on floors in the second half of 2024. Ayushmann Khurrana In Talks To Play Sourav Ganguly In His Biopic

Mumbai, May 30 - Producer Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg teamed up and announced the biopic of former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly in September 2021. Since then, various actors have been approached to play the legendary cricketer but things didn't materialize. ## Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, the biographical drama is back on track, and pre-production has already started. It is said that the makers are in advanced talks with the supremely talented actor Ayushmann Khurana to headline the project.## Ayushmann, who has wooed audiences with a variety of roles, has reportedly been in talks for this much-awaited biopic for several months and it's only a matter of some formalities before he is officially signed on for the role. The actor will undergo months of extensive cricket training before starting the shoot by the end of this year.## Tamil filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth is expected to direct this sports biopic after Vikramaditya Motwane, who was supposed to direct it, turned down the opportunity for unknown reasons.## Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana will next be seen in the social comedy-drama "Dream Girl 2" which is scheduled to release on August 25, 2023. Mumbai, February 27 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is busy with the promotion of his upcoming romantic comedy "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar which is slated to release on March 8 on the occasion of Holi.## Over the last couple of years, there have been talks about Ranbir Kapoor doing the biopics of legendary singer Kishore Kumar and cricketer Sourav Ganguly. Much to the delight of the late singer's fans, Ranbir confirmed that he indeed doing it. ## During the event, Ranbir revealed that he is a part of the Kishore Kumar biopic and has been working on it for the past 11 years. The actor added that filmmaker Anurag Basu has been writing it and hopefully, it will be his next film. ## Meanwhile, the talented actor denied the reports of him being approached for Sourav Ganguly's biopic. It was announced last year and there were reports that Ranbir would be playing the former Indian cricket captain. The actor was recently seen with Ganguly in Kolkata promoting TJMM. ## However, in the same video, Ranbir said that the cricketer is one of the living legends and that his biopic will be very special. Rahul Dravid To Be India's Next Head Coach: Report

Mumbai, October 16 - Former India cricketer and one of the greats of the game, Rahul Dravid is all set to become India's next head coach after the upcoming T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman. According to TOI, Dravid agreed to coach the Indian men's senior team on Friday during the IPL final where BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah held a meeting with him. ## During the meeting with Dravid - Ganguly and Shah persuaded him to take Ravi Shastri's position after the world cup and he reportedly agreed. "Dravid has confirmed he will be the next head coach of the Indian team. He will be stepping down as the head of the NCA soon", a top BCCI official told TOI on Friday night after the IPL final. ## TOI also reported that Dravid's trusted lieutenant Paras Mhambrey has been appointed as the bowling coach while no decision has been made on the replacement for fielding coach R Sridhar. Vikram Rathore is likely to remain as the batting coach.## Meanwhile, the current head coach Ravi Shastri will be stepping down from the post after the mega event. Under his coaching, India defeated Australia twice in their own backyard to win back-to-back Test series and took the team into the final of the ICC World Test Championship.## It is said that Dravid has been given a two-year contract till the ODI world cup in 2023, for which, he will reportedly be given 10 crores of fees.
