Akshay Kumar And Anupam Kher Wish To Do The Sequel To 'Special 26'
Mumbai, February 8 - Director Neeraj Pandey's period heist thriller "Special 26", starring Akshay Kumar is one of the finest Bollywood films of the last decade. Based on the 1987 Opera House heist, the plot follows a team of criminals, who pose as CBI officers and conduct raids, robbing politicians and businessmen of their black money. ## Produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Friday Filmworks, and Wide Frame Pictures "Special 26" received both critical and commercial acclaim, grossing over 100 crores at the worldwide box office. It has been 10 years since the film was released in 2013. ## Though a sequel of the movie was never confirmed, there have been rumors about turning "Special 26" into a franchise. Now, on the movie's 10th anniversary, veteran actor Anupam Kher, who played a vital role in the movie, wishes to do a sequel to it, and Akshay is ready if the script is good. ## Anupam Kher took to social media and said that he has asked director Neeraj Pandey many times to make Part-2 of "Special 26" and also conduct a poll to ask fans if there should be a sequel to it or not.
