Tom Holland-fronted 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Cast Revealed (So Far); Mark Ruffalo As Hulk To Return Among Others

Los Angeles, August 2 - Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' next offering Spider-Man: Brand New World has officially kicked off filming on August 1st. Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton has been roped in to help with this 4th instalment with Tom Holland as the titular superhero. ## As the shoot of this much-awaited biggie has kicked off, the details about the star cast are also being revealed. According to the report by The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Ruffalo is returning to reprise the role of Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, in the upcoming film. ## Along with Ruffalo, the report also revealed that Michael Mando, known for his work on Better Call Saul, is returning to reprise the role of the Scorpion, the villain character whom he first played in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, which kicked off the Holland-centric Spider-Man movies. ## Earlier, it was revealed that Jon Bernthal is set to reprise his role of the vigilante known as the Punisher. The movie will also see Zendaya returning to reprise her role as Michelle Jones-Watson, Spider-Man's love interest, but she has forgotten memories about him following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Peter Parker's former best friend, also returns for the next film. ## The Stranger Things star Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas are the new cast members of Brand New World. Los Angeles, April 1 - Sony Pictures has confirmed the official title of Marvel's Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland in the titular role at CinemaCon on Monday. ## During Sony Pictures' presentation at CinemaCon, Holland appeared in a video clip to announce that the 4th Spider-Man movie, led by him, is titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day and it is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.## The movie will be directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton, and the filmmaker promised "a ride that we haven't really seen before" with this upcoming film. Mumbai, June 21 - The leading streaming platform, Netflix has made some major changes in its viewership metrics which resulted in some major shakeups in its top 10 most popular titles across categories. ## Netflix will now report in average viewership for its programming as "views", which is hours viewed divided by total runtime. The views will now decide Netflix's top 10 weekly and all-time titles though hours viewed will still be available. The streamer also has expanded the viewership measurement window from 28 days to 91 days. ## The new changes have made "Wednesday" Season 1 the most popular English show of all time on Netflix with 252.1 million views, overtaking "Stranger Things 4's" 140.7 million views. However, in terms of viewing hours, ST4 remains the most-watched English show with 1.83 billion viewing hours, followed by "Wednesday" with 1.71 billion viewing hours.## The global Korean blockbuster series "Squid Game" still remains Netflix's most popular series ever (English or Non-English), even after the shift. It scored 265.2 million views and 2.2 billion viewing hours in the first 91 days. It is the only Netflix series or film to top 2 billion viewing hours of all time. ## Among the most popular films (English or non-English), "Red Notice" remains on the top even after changes with 230.9 million views and 454.2 million viewing hours in 91 days. Los Angeles, August 23 - The prequel series of HBO's global hit "Game of Thrones" - House of the Dragon takes domestic viewership by storm. The first episode of the series premiered on August 21 and becomes the most-watched HBO and HBO Max premiere episode for any series. ## The fantasy drama series based on the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by George R. R. Martin began with a record 10 million viewers watching it on Sunday in the US, according to Warner Bros. Discovery. Mumbai, July 26 - Marvel Studios' Disney Plus shows dominated the Indian market in the first half of 2022 as far as the international shows are concerned. Ormax Media, which tracks viewership data for the Indian and international streaming titles in India, has released the list of most-watched shows in the first half of 2022 in India. ## The Oscar Isaac-fronted Marvel superhero series Moon Knight scored the highest viewership among the international shows in India in the first half of 2022. The 6-episode series scored 23.4 million views since its debut on March 30. The first episode of the series was released on March 30 on Disney+Hotstar and it ended with the 6th episode on May 4. ## The second most-viewed international show in India also belonged to Marvel/Disney+ in the form of Iman Vellani-headed Ms. Marvel. It scored 16.7 million views till June 30th, after debuting on June 8. "Ms. Marvel" is the highest-rated MCU title (films or shows) on Rotten Tomatoes of all time with a 98% critics score. ## Meanwhile, Netflix's global smash hit Stranger Things season 4, which is the most-watched English show on Netflix of all time, remained the 3rd most-viewed international show in India with 15.8 million views.
