Release Date Locked For Superstar Mohanlal's Pan India Movie 'Lucifer 2'

Kochi, November 1 - Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran reunited for the sequel to their mega-blockbuster film Lucifer. The second instalment of this political action thriller was titled Lucifer 2: Empuraan (L2E) and is one of the biggest Malayalam movies in the making. ## Over the last few months, there have been speculations about the film's release date and now on November 1, the makers officially confirmed that Prithviraj Sukumaran's directorial would hit the big screens on March 27, 2025, in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Tamil languages. ## The film is produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions and stars Mohanlal as Khureshi-Ab'raam / Stephen Nedumpally, reprising his role from the original. It also features an ensemble cast of Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Saniya Iyappan, Arjun Das, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Fazil, and Sachin Khedekar.## The original Lucifer was released in 2019 and emerged as one of the biggest Malayalam blockbusters of all time. Superstar Mohanlal Resigns As AMMA President Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations In Malayalam Film Industry

Kochi, August 27 - Amid the sexual harassment allegations, the Malayalam superstar has regained as the president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). Along with him, all the members of the executive committee submitted their joint resignation. ## "AMMA has decided to disperse the executive committee on moral grounds in the light of allegations made by some actors against some of the committee members. Directed by Lal Jr., the film revolves around actor Hareendran who wants a driving license urgently, his ardent fan and a Motor Vehicle Inspector, Kuruvila Joseph, agrees on delivering it illegally, but their rendezvous does not go well, on the contrary, a feud develops between them that takes a toll on each other's personal and professional lives.## The Hindi remake will feature Akshay as a superstar while Emraan Hashmi is said to be playing the role of a cop. Emraan Hashmi To Feature Alongside Akshay Kumar For The First Time In Raj Mehta's Next?

Mumbai, September 28 - Akshay Kumar is reuniting with the talented director Raj Mehta after their 2019 blockbuster "Good Newwz". The yet-untitled project will reportedly also feature Emraan Hashmi. The movie, which is said to be a comedy thriller, will see Akshay and Emraan coming together for the first time. ## Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, it is learned that the film is the remake of the 2019 Malayalam film, Driving License that starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles. Akshay will step into the shoes of Prithviraj while Emraan Hashmi will reprise the role Suraj's role. ## Described as a captivating drama on pride and pettiness, fandom and fury, the film is based on a simple incident that becomes a major ego clash between a superstar (to be played by Akshay) and his die-hard fan, a motor vehicle inspector (to be played by Hashmi) after a series of misunderstandings. ## The pre-production work has already begun and the makers are exploring several locations to shoot the film, with the UK being right on top of the list. The film is expected to go on floors in early next year after Akshay is done shooting for Cinderella, Oh My God 2, and Ram Setu.## Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi is currently shooting for "Tiger 3" which will see Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprising their roles of RAW and ISI agents respectively.
