CBI Files Closure Report In Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's Death Case

Mumbai, March 23 - The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has concluded its investigation and has filed the closure report into the mysterious death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, according to PTI. The report was submitted to a special court in Mumbai, which will now decide whether to accept it or order further investigation. ## Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai, on June 14, 2020, at the age of 34. The CBI has determined that the actor's death was a case of suicide, with no evidence of foul play or criminal conspiracy. The CBI took over the case in August 2020 from the Bihar Police after the Supreme Court ordered it to conduct a thorough probe since there were conflicting reports of the Patna and Mumbai Police.## Subsequently, Sushant's father KK Singh lodged an FIR with the Patna Police in Bihar accusing actor Rhea Chakraborty and others of abetting his son's suicide. A counter-complaint by Chakraborty against Rajput's family was also investigated. The closure report addresses both cases, finding no substantiation for the allegations made by either party. Forensic experts from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) supported the CBI's conclusion.## The investigation involved recording statements from Chakraborty and others close to Rajput, as well as examining medical and forensic evidence, including a laptop, camera, and mobile phones. Despite extensive scrutiny, no evidence emerged to suggest anyone drove Rajput to suicide or that his death involved foul play. The report effectively clears Rhea Chakraborty, her family, and others named in the initial FIRs, ending a high-profile case that sparked widespread speculation and media attention.## The Mumbai Police had initially treated the death as a suicide, finding no signs of forced entry or a suicide note. However, the case gained significant traction after Rajput's family pursued legal action, leading to CBI involvement. While the closure report marks the agency's final stance, Rajput's family retains the option to file a protest petition if they disagree with the findings. National Award-Winning Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur Confirms Reviving His Dream Project 'Paani'

Mumbai, November 1 - National award-winning filmmaker Shekhar Kapur was working on his most ambitious project, titled Paani. Yash Raj Films was supposed to produce the film with Sushant Singh Rajput playing the lead role. ## The project came to light after the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput when Shekhar released the script of "Paani". It was put on the back burner after Yash Raj Films reportedly opted out. However, things now seem to be returning on track and the filmmaker is keen to revive the film. ## During a recent interaction with Pinkvilla, Shekhar Kapur confirmed that he is in touch with producers to revive "Paani" and he is hopeful that the project will meet its sweet end. ## "Hopefully next year, but let's talk when everything is locked. It's a dramatic script about many relationships including a love story, and water is the key to the love story. It's a very spiritual story, for water is the key in every faith in the world", he said. ## Shekhar Kapur is currently focussing on the promotions of "What's Love Got to Do With It?" Ajay Devgn's Acclaimed Thriller Movie, 'Drishyam' Sets China Release Date

Mumbai, March 29 - Ajay Devgn-starrer thriller film, "Drishyam" is all set to release in China, which is the biggest movie market in the world. The critically and commercially successful movie is the remake of the 2013 Malayalam-language film of the same name starring superstar Mohanlal. ## Directed by late director Nishikant Kamat, "Drishyam" will be released in China on April 15, 2022. In the past, Indian movies have done wonders at the Chinese box office and minted crores. Aamir Khan's "Dangal" is the highest-grossing Indian title in China with 1305 crores gross ($ 203M). ## "Drishyam" has been one of the most loved thriller movies in Bollywood cinema. It grossed 110 crores worldwide in a budget of approx. 48 crores and was declared hit at the box office. Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer "Andhadhun", which holds a special place in the thriller genre, was a massive hit in China with a gross total of ₹ 333.62 Cr [$ 48.28M].## The last Indian film released in China was a Tamil sports drama film "Kanaa", starring Sathyaraj, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Sivakarthikeyan. It was released on March 18, 2022, however, the movie turned out to be a failed attempt as it grossed approx. 3 crores in the first 12 days. Box Office: Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor's 'Chhichhore' Makes A Strong Debut In China

Mumbai, January 10 - Late Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor starrer 2019's blockbuster coming-of-age comedy-drama "Chhichhore" was released in China on January 7, 2022. It is the first Indian film to release in China since Sidharth Malhotra, Akshaye Khanna, and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer "Ittefaq" in October 2019. ## Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, "Chhichhore" has made a strong debut at the China box office, grossing $1.7 million or Rs. 12.60 crores in the opening weekend. The movie debuted in China as number 3 for the new releases after Disney's "Encanto", which grossed $3.4 million in the first 3-days, and "Katuri: City Adventure" ($2.7M). Overall, it was the 10th biggest film of the past weekend. ## Made in the budget of Rs. 70 crores, the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment's production in association with Fox Star Studios had already grossed Rs. 211 crores at the worldwide box office before releasing in China. It was one of the biggest Indian grosser of 2019 at the worldwide box office. ## In the past, Indian movies had done very well in China. Aamir Khan's "Dangal" created mayhem at the Chinese box office by grossing $203 million or Rs. 1305 crores in 2017. It is the biggest Indian grosser in China to date. Interestingly, Nitesh Tiwari had directed "Dangal", and now, he will be hoping for the same success for "Chhichhore". ## "Chhichhore", tells a nostalgia-tinged, emotional story focused on a relationship between father and son as they grapple with the intense pressure of college entrance exams and reminisce about the past. Mumbai, Dec 31 (IANS) Actress Rhea Chakraborty has looked back at her journey in 2021 and called it a year full of healing and pain. ## Rhea posted a picture on Instagram, where she looks gorgeous dressed in a rust coloured boat-neck top paired with denims. She smiles at the camera as she gets clicked. ## She wrote alongside the image: "You see me smiling and laughing, it's not been easy to get here. A year full of healing, a year full of pain." ## "But here I am, smiling and looking at you 2021-because indeed what doesn't break you makes you stronger..! Late Sushant Singh Rajput's Fans Show Their Support For Aryan Khan In Drugs Case

Mumbai, October 12 - The last few days have been very distressful for the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as his son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Beuero in a drugs case. While the NCB investigation is on in the case, Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan are getting huge support from industry people and fans as they are praying for the freedom of Aryan. ## In his long supporters' list, the fans of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was himself a huge fan of SRK and regarded him to be his idol, also showed their support to King Khan's family.
