Theatrical Runtime of 'Baahubali - The Epic' Revealed

Hyderabad, July 15 - In one of its kind experiments, director SS Rajamouli's epic duology, "Baahubali - The Beginning" and "Baahubali - The Conclusion", are set to re-release in a single epic cut in October this year and the movie has been titled as Baahubali - The Epic. ## The announcement was recently made officially on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Baahubali - The Beginning. There have been talks about the film's theatrical runtime, as it was reportedly listed with over 5 hours of runtime on the ticketing platform Book My Show, but now, the time has been removed. ## The fans were still confused about what the final runtime could be. However, the makers clarified that it will not be 5 hours long. According to the latest post by Aakashavanni, Baahubali - The Epic will be around 3 hours and 50 minutes long, making it the longest single Indian film. ## This runtime of nearly 4 hours is expected, given the fact that the combined runtime of the original movies is 316 minutes or 5 hours and 16 minutes (158 minutes each for both). Hyderabad, July 10 - A decade ago in 2015, on this same day (July 10), director SS Rajamouli's epic action drama Baahubali - The Beginning, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas, was released in theatres worldwide, and changed the Indian cinema for its greater good. ## Baahubali grossed approximately 650 crores worldwide and was the second highest-grossing Indian movie at that time, behind Aamir Khan's "PK" (792 crores). 2 years later, the second part, Baahubali - The Conclusion was released in April 2017, and became much bigger blockbuster than the first part. ## The second part grossed nearly 1800 crores worldwide, but it was again finished as the second biggest-grosser, behind Aamir Khan's "Dangal" (2070 crores), which released in 2016. Mumbai, July 29 - A couple of days back, the makers of John Abraham-fronted upcoming action drama Vedaa issued a statement stating that the censorship of the movie was facing delay due to some reasons as the team putting all the efforts to make it ready for August 15 release.## While there is no official word on further development yet, the latest reports have confirmed that Vedaa has been censored by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and it has received a 'U/A' certificate without any cuts, as per Pinkvilla. Chennai, May 20 - Actor and director Sundar C's horror-comedy Aranmanai 4 has become the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2024 at the worldwide box office, beating Sivakarthikeyan's sci-fi adventure Ayalaan. ## Starring Sundar C, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Raashii Khanna, the fourth instalment of the hit franchise has grossed approximately 62 crores at the domestic box office, including approximately 56.50 crores in Tamil and 5.50 crores in the Telugu version.## The overseas collection of Aranmanai 4 is an estimated 16 crores, pushing the worldwide cume total to 78 crores gross in 17 days. Ayalaan had grossed approximately 76.50 crores and is now the second highest-grossing Tamil film of the year. ## Aranmanai 4 is the highest-grossing film in the franchise, surpassing the lifetime collection of its predecessor which grossed an estimated 30-40 crores worldwide. Chennai, May 6 - Aranmanai 4 scored a very good opening weekend at the domestic box office with superb occupancy across Tamil Nadu state which saw it crossing the lifetime domestic total of Lal Salaam in which superstar Rajinikanth played the extended role. ## Directed by Sundar C, the horror comedy minted approximately 22 crores gross in India, including 20 crores in Tamil and 2 crores in Telugu in the first three-day weekend. Lal Salaam had grossed approximately 21 crores in its entire run. In Tamil Nadu, the movie has minted approximately 18.25 crores gross.## The opening weekend of 22 crores of Aranmanai 4 is the second biggest for a Tamil movie domestically, behind only Dhanush's Captain Miller which grossed approximately 27.60 crores in the first 3 days. Chennai, May 4 - Actor and filmmaker Sundar C's 4th instalment of the horror-comedy franchise Aranmanai has taken a good start at the domestic box office, scoring the second biggest opening for a Tamil title in 2024. ## Starring Tamannaah Bhatia, and Raashii Khanna in the leading roles, Aranmanai 4 grossed approximately 5.25 crores on its opening day in India in Tamil and Telugu languages. The Tamil version alone minted an estimated 4.75 crores gross while the Telugu version scored around 55 lakh gross. ## The opening of Aranmanai 4 is the second biggest for a Tamil title in 2024 after Dhanush's Captain Miller which minted approximately 10 crores gross opening day. It has beaten the likes of Lal Salaam, and Ayalaan. Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli, which had a re-release on April 20, grossed around 4.75 crores in India on its first day and is currently the third biggest opener of the year.## The initial word of mouth for Aranmanai 4 is good and the movie is already showing strong hold on its second day.
