IMDb Unveils The List of 50 Most Popular Indian Web Series of All Time

Mumbai, June 6 - It has been five years since Netflix premiered the neo-noir crime thriller show Sacred Games starring Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, and Pankaj Tripathi, among others.## Arguably the most loved Indian Netflix show ever, "Sacred Games" remains the most popular Indian show of all time even after such a long time. Chennai, August 25, 2021: South Indian actress Samantha Akkineni made her Hindi debut with Raj & DK's web series, The Family Man 2. While the actress received global appreciation for her act, she also came under serious criticism for portraying a Tamil rebellion called Razi in the Amazon Prime Video series. ## The Tamil Nadu government had urged the Centre to ban the show after the trailer was released. Tamil Nadu's IT Minister T Mano Thangaraj had written a letter that said that the series "not only hurt the sentiments of Eelam Tamils but also the feelings of the people of Tamil Nadu". Tamil Nadu Government Writes To Prakash Javadekar To Ban The Family Man Season 2; The Makers Of The Show Respond

Chennai, May 25, 2021: The controversy around Amazon Prime Video's upcoming web series, The Family Man 2, is getting more intense as the Tamil Nadu government has written a letter to the Information and Broadcast Minister Prakash Javadekar seeking a ban on the show for 'depicts the Eelam Tamils in a highly objectionable manner'. ## "I would like to bring to your notice about the condemnable, inappropriate, and malicious contents of The Family Man 2 serial in Hindi, which depicts the Eelam Tamils in a highly objectionable manner. The trailer of the above said serial which was released in the social media network is aimed at discrediting and distorting the historical struggle of Eelam Tamils in Sri Lanka", read a section of the letter.## According to the trailer launched recently, South Indian actress Samantha Akkineni, who makes her digital debut with this series, can be seen portraying a character named Raji. Mumbai, May 20, 2021: Actor Sunny Hinduja, who is receiving a heartwarming response for his role in the recently premiered web series, "Aspirants" on The Viral Fever (TVF), is all set to return in the second season of the Manoj Bajpayee-starrer web series "The Family Man". ## Taking inspiration from Manoj Bajpayee's struggling stories of his initial days, Sunny recalls how the veteran actor encourages him to "go with the flow".## "During the shooting of the show (The Family Man), we spend time and a lot of interaction happened. He is like a big brother and a mentor, and when he shares his memory of how he struggled in his initial days, just by hearing such incidents one can get so much inspiration. It is hard to stay hopeful when the struggle is too much, but he did not give up", Sunny told IANS.## "One of the things sir told me and that stayed with me is - go with the flow, do not take yourself too seriously, just take your craft seriously. I think it will always resonate with me", he added. ## "The Family Man" season 2 brings back Bajpayee with Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Sharad Kelkar, and Shreya Dhanwantary among others. Already Delayed 'The Family Man 2' Trailer Invites Fresh Controversy

Mumbai, May 19, 2021: The highly-awaited Amazon Prime Video's web series, "The Family Man 2", which was supposed to release last year, is finally premiering on June 4. The streaming platform dropped an intense trailer of The Family Man 2 on Wednesday, nearly two weeks before the show arrives. ## However, before the excitement level of fans could reach its peak, the tailer has given fresh air to the controversy, which could lead things into a serious issue. As per the trailer, Manoj Bajpayee reprises his role as an NIA agent, who along with his team facing enemies called, Tamil rebels. ## South Indian actress, Samantha Akkineni portrays one of the highly-trained rebels, Raji, in the show. She is a part of Tamil rebels (they're just called Tamil rebels), who joined hands with a dangerous terrorist organization, ISIS, to unleash an attack on India.
