Mahavatar Narsimha Vs Hari Hara Veera Mallu First Monday Box Office: Animated Blockbuster Stuns Pawan Kalyan-starrer With 3x More Collection

Hyderabad, July 29 - In the shocking turn of events, Kaleem Productions and Hombale Films' low-budget animated epic action drama Mahavatar Narsimha has stunned superstar Pawan Kalyan-fronted period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu at the domestic box office on their respective first Mondays. ## Released on July 25, the first chapter in the ambitious Mahavatar Cinematic Universe is rewriting the rules, registering a Monday collection (Day 4) of approximately 7.25 crore gross domestically, which is more than triple the 2.25 crore gross earned by Hari Hara Veera Mallu on its first Monday (Day 5). ## Even though there is no comparison between the two movies, as the scale and budget of Hari Hara Veera Mallu are much higher than the animated film, the former had a shocking collapse after an underwhelming opening weekend. This once again proved the power of word of mouth and the unpredictable, harsh reality of the box office. ## Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, Hari Hara Veera Mallu was envisioned as a grand period saga starring one of Telugu cinema’s biggest superstars. However, the film's inability to maintain momentum beyond the opening day highlights the fickle nature of box office performance and the increasing influence of word of mouth. In 5 days so far, the movie has grossed approximately 91 crores, after taking the opening of 55 crores domestically.## In stark contrast, Mahavatar Narsimha is turning out to be a sleeper success story. After opening at 2.10 crore gross, the film saw explosive weekend growth, collecting 19 crore in three days. The rock-solid Monday performance has taken its total to 26.25 crore gross in just four days. With strong legs and surging demand, the film is racing towards the 50 crore milestone — an incredible feat for an animated feature in India. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'Vettaiyan' Tops 100 Crore Worldwide Gross After Strong Second Day

Chennai, October 12 - Superstar Rajinikanth's action drama Vettaiyan has topped 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office after the super strong second day. The movie had a mid-week release on Thursday and despite that, it took a solid opening of 64 crores globally. ## On its second day/first Friday, Vettaiyan dropped just around 25% at the domestic box office and grossed approximately 27.80 crores. Additionally, the movie minted approximately 14 crores gross collection internationally, making it a 42 crores gross second day worldwide. ## The rock-solid collection on Friday pushed the total to past 100 crores gross at approximately 105.80 crores, including 64.80 crores gross in India and 41 crores overseas. With this, it has become the 25th Indian movie and 5th Tamil movie of 2024 to achieve the feat. ## Vettaiyan is the third movie of superstar Rajinikanth to top 100 crores worldwide gross collection post the Covid-19 pandemic after Annaatthe (2021) and Jailer (2023). In between, the actor played an extended role in Lal Salaam which was a major box-office failure. ## Stay tuned...

The Bloodline Gets A New Enforcer As Tama Tonga Makes Shocking Debut On SmackDown

The fallout from WrestleMania 40 continued to shake up SmackDown this week, with a major change to the landscape of The Bloodline.## Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, and Paul Heyman kicked off the night with an in-ring segment addressing their loss and the subsequent eviction from their locker room by the new champion, Cody Rhodes. Heyman attempted to maintain order, reminding Sikoa that "wins and losses matter" and regaining championship gold was the key to reclaiming their space.## However, tensions flared as Sikoa questioned the consequences for losing, particularly after Jimmy Uso's defeat at the hands of Jey Uso at WrestleMania. Suddenly, a hooded figure attacked Jimmy Uso, and the identity was soon revealed to be Tama Tonga, son of Haku and a former NJPW star.## This shocking debut was followed by a vicious assault on Jimmy Uso by both Sikoa and Tonga, leaving him laid out despite Heyman's protests against the violence. Notably, Tonga, while not an Anoa'i family member by blood, has been acknowledged as honorary family by The Rock and Roman Reigns in the past.## The segment concluded with Sikoa asserting his dominance within the group. He smacked Heyman's phone out of his hand and stomped on it, sending a clear message that decision-making within The Bloodline may have shifted.## The future of The Bloodline and its impact on SmackDown remain to be seen, but one thing is certain: the WWE Universe can expect fireworks in the weeks to come. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

The Rock Rattles PG Era: Wrestlers Get Edgier After Dwayne Johnson's Mic Drop

The Rock's recent stint on WWE has caused a shift in on-screen language policies, particularly for top wrestlers.## Dave Meltzer, wrestling journalist, reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the previously enforced PG-rated language restrictions seem to be loosening up. This change appears to be at least partly due to The Rock's freedom to speak his mind. ## Meltzer notes, "Rock says what he wants when he wants," and this leniency seems to be extending to other top stars. Examples include Paul Heyman's (bleeped-out) profanity during his Hall of Fame speech and Cody Rhodes and C.M. Punk using language that wouldn't have been tolerated just a few months ago.## Interestingly, this coincides with a reported decline in viewership among older demographics and a rise in younger viewers. This suggests a potential return to the "Attitude Era" style of programming, known for its edgier content, might be a strategic move to capture a younger audience.## However, WWE seems to be taking a cautious approach. While there's a push for edgier content, there's also a concern about alienating sponsors with excessive profanity. It appears they're aiming for a balance.## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Report: There Is No Planned Date For The Rock To Return For A Match

The Rock's WWE departure is confirmed, following his "go away for a little while" comment on the Raw after WrestleMania. He did assure fans he'd return, specifically for a showdown with Cody Rhodes.## Earlier reports suggested a potential WrestleMania 41 clash (in 2025) between The Rock and Rhodes. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter now sheds more light on The Rock's plans.## Meltzer indicates this is a long-term absence, with no confirmed return date for a match, though WrestleMania next year is a possibility. The Rock initially envisioned a match with Roman Reigns, but due to recent events, a singles match with Rhodes is considered the bigger draw.## Current plans suggest The Rock might work a match later in 2024, but it's not guaranteed. His ideal scenario is a main event clash with Rhodes at next year's WrestleMania, and The Rock often gets what he wants. This could translate to a one-year title reign for Rhodes, though not a certainty as of yet.## Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's busy film schedule likely factors into his WWE hiatus. He has two movies in post-production and a third slated for 2025 release. These include the action-comedy "Red One" (with Chris Evans) in November 2024, "Moana 2" (reprising his role as Maui) also in November 2024, and a live-action "Moana" movie in 2025. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Scrapped Plans For Stone Cold Steve Austin's Involvement In The Main Event Of WrestleMania 40 Revealed

Plans for Stone Cold Steve Austin's involvement in the main event of WrestleMania 40 have been revealed, along with the reason for his absence.## At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes dethroned Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed Universal Champion, ending Reigns' historic 1316-day reign. The match featured surprise appearances by WWE legends who helped Rhodes overcome The Bloodline.## John Cena returned to put Solo Sikoa out of action, but was later taken down by The Rock. Just as The Rock appeared poised to interfere further, The Undertaker made a shocking entrance, chokeslamming The Rock and effectively removing him from the equation.## The Undertaker's return was particularly unexpected as WWE had teased appearances by Cena and Stone Cold Steve Austin, who was ultimately absent. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE was unable to reach a financial agreement with Austin for his WrestleMania 40 appearance.## Meltzer reported that The Undertaker took Austin's originally planned spot in the main event. This explains the surprise nature of The Deadman's return, as opposed to the pre-event hype surrounding Cena and Austin. The Rock's on-screen interaction with Cody Rhodes on Raw this week suggests he might be taking a break from WWE. During the segment, The Rock alluded to stepping away for "a little while." ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Huge Update On Roman Reigns To WWE Following His Title Loss To Cody Rhodes At WrestleMania 40

WWE fans eager to see the return of Roman Reigns after his WrestleMania loss to Cody Rhodes might have a clue, but with a caveat. ## The official WWE website lists upcoming events and the superstars expected to appear. Currently, the next show featuring Roman Reigns is SmackDown on August 2nd, the night before SummerSlam.## However, these listings are subject to change, and Reigns' appearance isn't guaranteed. During the opening segment, The Rock hinted at a future match with Rhodes upon his return.## So, will the WWE Universe see the "Tribal Chief" before SummerSlam? John Cena: 'I Will Always Be Part Of The WWE Family, But The Time To Compete In The Ring Has Come To An End'

John Cena's appearance at WrestleMania 40 was indeed a brief one, lasting only about 90 seconds. Here's what went down. He interfered in the main event, the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.## Cena took down Solo Sikoa, a member of Reigns' Bloodline entourage, with a signature move. There was a brief confrontation between Cena and his old rival, The Rock. ## This appearance seemed to be a way to acknowledge Cena's legacy in WWE while putting the spotlight on the current generation of wrestlers. In an interview with Pat McAfee after WrestleMania, Cena stated that he will always be part of the WWE family, but the time to compete in the ring has come to a close. ## "I'll change my shirt, but you guys know that comes with a uniform change. So, last night wasn't my last night. So this doesn't mean this is my last uniform." ## "So it's not tough because of the foundation I laid and the promise I made to each and every person who pays attention and gives of themselves to WWE. When I feel I can no longer perform at the capacity of the product, it is time to step away. That's not tough. The toughest thing is that I love it so much, uh, and you can still do it at a high level. Uh, yeah. So, when that time is gone, that means that it's done. I'm actively trying to craft that path right now. So, uh, I've put a line in the sand for myself for 50, and I honestly think it's going to be before that. ## I'll be 47 in a few weeks, so we got time still. Many are calling this the greatest WrestleMania ever, right? And I agree. What a spectacle, what a fantastic WrestleMania. But that's because of the talent that actually put the time in. I showed up for 90 seconds. This is the greatest WrestleMania, with or without my involvement, and that is because of the superstars we have now and their contribution to the business. It is going to be time soon for me to go, and I'm embracing that and enjoying it. It allows me to be present, don't I? I can say this with the utmost certainty: I will always, always be part of the WWE family, but the time to compete in the ring has come to a close." ## If you use this transcription or any portion of it please credit Sacnilk.com and link to this page. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

John Cena Praises Cody Rhodes: Hopes For Future Advocacy As 'Greatest of All Time'

John Cena was at WrestleMania 40, he appeared in the main event, which was a match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship. During the climax of the match, Roman Reigns' faction, The Usos, along with Solo Sikoa, interfered to help Reigns. John Cena entered the ring and fought off Sikoa and another wrestler. The Rock also joined the fray, taking down Cena. ## Just as The Rock looked to have the upper hand, The Undertaker's iconic entrance music hit, sending the crowd into a frenzy. The Undertaker appeared and chokeslammed The Rock, creating a huge moment at WrestleMania. ## With now, Cody Rhodes now holding the WWE Championship, Cena predicts that he will be the greatest of all time in the coming year. On The Pat McAfee Show, John Cena stated the following about Rhodes. ## "So, in the biggest event of the year, with our most important prize on the line, I am just an advocate for a fair chance, okay? You know I'm a huge fan of Cody Rhodes, but you also know I'm a huge fan of Roman Reigns. I believe Roman Reigns is the greatest of all time. Okay, again, what's great about WWE is you can have your opinion and you can voice yours, and I think that's fantastic. Will Cody Rhodes be the greatest of all time? He's put himself in a good position.## So, going back to what I said about Roman Reigns, that doesn't mean that Cody Rhodes cannot be the greatest of all time. I just want people to understand that I think what's been done so far, you have to put Roman Reigns in that slot, but Cody's story... Cody's story starts, you know? The whole theme of WrestleMania was finishing the story. His story starts today. I told him in the ring last night, and I'm sure he'll be able to relay this same message. ## When I got to embrace him, he had the championship in his right hand, and I said, "Do you feel that?" He said, "Yes." I said, "Do you feel how heavy it is?" He said, "Yes." I said, "It will get heavier every day." Oh, that's deep because that is the burden you bear of trying to craft the path to being the greatest of all time. I hope... I hope, and this should be the goal for the business, every performer should pass the torch up. So, I hope a year from now, two years from now, three years from now, we can all sit here and be advocates that Cody Rhodes is the greatest of all time because that's the way it should work." ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Huge Update On A Possible Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock Match

The echoes of WrestleMania 40 have barely faded, but a new storm is brewing on the horizon of WWE. On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, The Rock made a shocking return, not to celebrate Cody Rhodes' victory as the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, but to challenge him. ## Many believe that The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes is on the horizon somewhere along the line. However, there is no certainty on when it will happen. Per the latest from Dave Meltzer, the planned singles match between The Rock and Cody Rhodes will take place at 'next year's WrestleMania'. Their history goes back to Rhodes' independent wrestling days, where The Rock, already a megastar, crossed paths with a young and hungry Rhodes. The Rock, ever the showman, dismissed Rhodes, a moment that fueled the latter's determination. ## Fast forward to the present, and Rhodes, the underdog who clawed his way to the top, stands on the pinnacle. The Rock, a legend with a Hollywood career, clearly hasn't forgotten their past. His backhanded congratulations and subtle jabs, all delivered with his signature charisma, were a declaration of war. ## The Rock claims to have "made Rhodes bleed" and promises to "whoop him like a dog." This isn't just about competition; it's about personal redemption. The Rock wants to prove that despite his Hollywood hiatus, he's still The Great One, and Rhodes is just another stepping stone. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...
