The Kerala Story First Tuesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 9 - The Kerala Story is a box office beast and is gaining momentum with each passing day. After showing a minimal drop on the first working day (Monday), the movie witnesses an upward trend the next day. ## On its first Tuesday, TKS shows a growth of around 10% over Monday collection for an estimated 11 crores net. This sort of jump on a working day shows the power of super solid word of mouth. The first Tuesday collection pushes the total net cume to around 57 crores net after 5 days. ## The opening week collection of The Kerala Story is expected to be around 75 crores net and then, it will breach the 100 crores net mark in its second weekend. As said earlier, the lifetime collection of the movie is hard to predict but it is certain to finish over 200 crores net. ## Directed by Sudipto Sen, TKS will be released internationally on May 12 and it is expected to witness the same response as domestic. Adipurush Trailer: Director Om Raut's Big Attempt To Bring The Timeless Tale of The Ramayana To Life

Mumbai, May 9 - After delivering a blockbuster with Ajay Devgn-fronted "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior", director Om Raut is back to conquer a bigger in the form of Adipurush. Amid huge expectations, the trailer of the film was launched on Tuesday and it exceeded expectations of all. ## The story of Adipurush is set in the time when Ram was in exile with Sita and Laxman and it mainly focuses on the Ram-Sita-Ravan conflict. Prabhas plays the role of Lord Rama and his look is different from the conventional one purely because he has been presented as a warrior which is Raut's strong point. ## The scene between Prabhas and Kriti Sanon who plays the role of Sita is beautiful and mesmerizing though their scenes are less in the trailer. Sunny Singh as Laxman is ok and so is Devdatta Nage as Hanuman. The makers have also kept fewer scenes of Raavan played by Saif Ali Khan but those in the trailer are brilliant.## The CGI is much better and looks believable than the teaser which was launched last year. The background music by Ajay-Atul is the major highlight and is perfectly in sync with the trailer. Despite the negligible animated touch, the Adipurush trailer hits the right notes and is surely going to increase the excitement among the fans. ## The movie is a big attempt by Om Raut to bring the timeless tale of Ramayana to life and it will unanimous audience turnaround to justify this big move. Mumbai, May 8 - The Kerala Story has been assured to score a huge lifetime total after showing a remarkable hold on its first working day, Monday. The movie had an excellent first weekend with 35.25 crores net coming in. ## Despite facing bans and backlash, The Kerala Story scored is showing a jump of around 30% on Monday from Friday for an estimated 10-11+ crores net, which is phenomenal, to say the least. The drop from Sunday is around 30% which shows the power of solid word of mouth. ## Directed by Sudipto Sen, TKS is going The Kashmir Films' way which created a sensation last year. Mumbai, May 7 - The Kerala Story records a fantastic opening weekend at the domestic box office with an estimated 35+ crores net coming in over a 3-day weekend. ## After 19.25 crores net in the first two days, the drama film sees another big jump of around 40% for an estimated 16+ crores net on its third day or first Sunday. The jump on Sunday is in similar lines as Saturday. The 3 days total collection of The Kerala Story is approx. 35.25 crores net, which is easily the 4th biggest Bollywood opening of the year and beats most of the mainstream movies. ## Interestingly, The Kerala Story comfortably beats Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which was easily the biggest movie this weekend at the Indian box office. Mumbai, May 6 - The Kerala Story records fantastic growth on its second day as collection jumped by around 55%. This sort of growth was always on the card after the movie managed to attract super-positive reviews and word of mouth. ## The collection of The Kerala Story is strong all over, largely thanks to its controversial subject which is attracting audiences to the cinemas. Prabhas' Film With Director Siddharth Anand Shelved

Hyderabad, May 6 - Over the last few years, it has been reported that superstar Prabhas would be teaming up with director Siddharth Anand for a big-budget action entertainer. Mythri Movie Makers was on board to bankroll the project and even reportedly gave advances to Anand for the same. ## While the fans were excited about this blockbuster collaboration, things didn't work out to take the movie on floors due to the covid-19 pandemic and other commitments of both Prabhas and Siddharth. And now, the latest reports have confirmed that the movie in question has been shelved. ## According to Pinkvilla, Siddharth Anand has refunded the advances he took for the movie to Mythri Movie Makers. 'The Kerala Story' Set For A Good Start At The Box Office

Mumbai, May 4 - Director Sudipto Sen's drama film The Kerala Story has been at the center of controversy ever since the trailer was launched. The movie is claimed to have been based on true events and follows the story of a group of women from Kerala who are converted to Islam and join the extremist Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). ## There was hardly any buzz around "The Kerala Story" a couple of weeks ago but due to the controversy, everyone is now aware of it which is proving to be advantageous as far as the box office of the film is concerned. The movie has been able to fetch a decent advance booking collection and despite being not a mainstream Bollywood flick, it has better pre-sales than films like "Kuttey" and "Gumraah" which had a bigger star cast and scale.## As of 4 AM on May 5, the pre-sales collection of "The Kerala Story" was approx. 1.25 Cr with around 60K tickets sold for the first day. Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' Release Date Gets Postponed

Mumbai, May 4 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's action entertainer Jawan with director Atlee is no longer releasing on June 2. ## The makers have been keeping mum on the release date of the movie which leads to frustration among the fans. Amid the continued silence, it has now been reported that "Jawan" won't make it to the June release due to the pending work on VFX. ## According to Pinkvilla, "Jawan" is now looking for an August 2023 release. "Jawan is no longer releasing on June 2, 2023. The team needs some more time to complete the visual effects of the film and they would rather come up with a product that competes with the best in the country than a substandard one".## It is said that the makers are discussing releasing the movie on August 11 or August 25 this year and the official confirmation regarding the same will be made soon. June 29 is also an option but reports say that is difficult to make as they need enough time in the post-production. ## August is already packed with multiple blockbusters slated to release. Ranbir Kapoor's highly-awaited "Animal" and Sunny Deol's "Gadar 2" are scheduled for August 11 release while Rajinikanth's "Jailer" is announced for August 10 release. Mumbai, May 4 - Yash Raj Films is reportedly working on a female-led spy action thriller film with Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. Both Katrina and Deepika have been an important part of YRF's Spy Universe and now, the studio is planning to make a proper big-budget film, revolving around their characters in this blockbuster universe. ## Katrina has played the role of ISI agent Zoya in the two Salman Khan-fronted "Tiger" movies in YRF's Spy Universe while Deepika was introduced in Shah Rukh Khan-led "Pathaan" in which she played the role of ISI agent Rubai. ## The details regarding the project have been kept under wraps for now.
