Hyderabad, May 27 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is once again in the media headlines after a fiery social media post, slamming the dirty PR games in the industry against him and his films. 'Dhadak 2' Gets A New Release Date

Mumbai, May 26 - Producer Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, in association with Zee Studios, has announced the new release date of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri-fronted Dhadak, which is the sequel to 2018's Dhadak, starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. ## On Monday (May 26), the studio took to social media to drop the first look poster, confirming that the movie will hit the big screen on August 1 this year. In one of the posters, Siddhant is seen with fire in his eyes, embracing Triptii in a protective grip. The second poster presents a close-up of Triptii’s character, her expression tender yet resolved as she clings to the man she loves. ## The tagline in the posters reads, "Marne aur ladne mese ek ko chunna ho, toh ladna", which translates to, "If you ever have to choose between dying or fighting, then choose to fight", which reflects the film's tone and theme. ## Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is said to be the remake of 2018's Tamil movie, Pariyerum Perumal. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga To Keep 'A' Rated Tone For Prabhas-fronted 'Spirit'

Hyderabad, May 26 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is set to keep the 'A'-rated (18+) tone for his upcoming film Spirit, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas and actress Tripti Dimri. The movie was earlier supposed to feature Deepika Padukone as the female lead, but she has now been replaced by Tripti. ## Sandeep Vanga has directed 3 films so far, and all of them were A-rated. With Spirit, the maverick filmmaker is not going to change his style, and has reportedly conveyed the same to the lead pair. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the cop action thriller will be a quintessential Telugu entertainer, but the director is bringing a twist to the genre by spinning in an A-rated twist. "Apart from the use of ample blood in the action scenes, Spirit will also boast a lot of bold sequences featuring the two leads", says the report. ## The report further states that SRV has conveyed the requirement of shooting bold scenes to both Prabhas and Tripti, and they have agreed to the same. Box Office: 'Jigra' and 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' Top 50 Crore Gross Worldwide

Mumbai, October 27 - The Dussehra weekend Bollywood releases, Alia Bhatt's Jigra and Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video have underperformed at the box office, particularly the former which has credible names attached to it. ## It has been a struggling ride for the action thriller Jigra which has barely managed to go past 50 crores at the worldwide box office. Domestically, the movie is a big flop, grossing approximately 36.50 crores (30.35 crores net) in 16 days so far. ## At the overseas box office, Jigra has managed to mint an estimated 18 crores, for a worldwide cume of around 54.50 crores gross collection. This is Alia Bhatt's lowest-grossing film worldwide since Highway which minted approximately 52.50 crores gross in 2012. ## The comedy-drama Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has performed decently so far. Dharma Productions 'Dhadak 2' Release Date Postponed

Mumbai, October 14 - Dharma Productions' love story drama Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri has reportedly been postponed to the next year. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the movie is a spiritual sequel to Dhadak (2018), starring Ishaan Khatter, and Janhvi Kapoor. ## Dhadak 2, which is said to be a remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal (2018), was announced on November 22, 2024, release. According to Bollywood Hungama, it has now been postponed and the producers are looking at releasing the film on February 21, 2025.## Subject to the official announcement, Dhadak 2 will clash with Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 which is already confirmed for February 21, 2025, release. Box Office: 'Jigra' and 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' Opening Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 11 - Bollywood star Alia Bhatt returns to the big screen with director Vasan Bala's action thriller Jigra since romantic comedy-drama Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in July 2023.## Jigra generated decent hype after the trailer release, however, this couldn't turn into box office numbers as the opening of the film is below the mark. According to early estimates, the movie scored in the range of 4.25-4.50 crores on its opening day. ## The opening of Jigra is somehow on the projected lines due to the genre but the presence of Alia was anticipated to bring bigger opening day numbers which couldn't happen. 'Laila Majnu' Re-Release 38 Days Box Office Collection

Mumbai, September 15 - Amid the superb response to the Tumbbad re-release, Tripti Dimri and Avinash Tiwary's romantic drama Laila Majnu, which was re-released more than a month ago, is still doing a decent business.## Directed by Sajid Ali, the heartbreaking romance drama makes a successful return to the big screen after 6 years. While it largely went unnoticed in its original run back in 2018, the re-release has already earned more than 3X of its original collection of 3.25 crores gross (2.70 crores net).## Laila Majnu is currently in the 6th week of its re-release run and in 38 days so far, it has grossed approximately 10.50 crores. It is the second Bollywood re-release to cross 10 crores gross collection domestically this year. ## The movie was re-released on September 9, ahead of the Independence Day biggies and scored approximately 4.75 crores gross collection (4.10 crores net) in the first week.
