Kajal Aggarwal Will Not Be A Part of Kamal Haasan's Biggest Movie 'Indian 2'?
Chennai, July 31 - Legendary Kamal Haasan has reportedly started preparations to resume the filming of his highly-anticipated vigilante action thriller Indian 2, directed by maverick S Shankar. The filming of the sequel to Indian (1996) was halted following an accident on the sets in February 2020, but it is now expected to resume in September this year. ## Meanwhile, actress Kajal Aggarwal, who was supposed to play the female lead, is reportedly no more a part of the film. The actress is on voluntary maternity leave and was also removed from megastar Chiranjeevi's "Acharya" earlier this year. ## According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers of the film are not looking to cast either Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif. However, reports say they haven't been approached yet for the role. Post the success of "Vikram", the upcoming movie is also being designed as a pan-India film, ## Kamal Haasan-fronted first "Indian", which was released in 1996, starred Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar as the female leads. The film went on to become a massive blockbuster upon receiving critical acclaim.
