Chennai, January 15 - Thalapathy Vijay's family action drama Varisu is emerging as a favorite Tamil film this Pongal festival, not just in the original Tamil language but also in Telugu and Hindi languages. ## Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, "Varisu" grossed approx. 78 crores domestically in the first 4 days. The movie grossed an estimated 21+ crores on Sunday, including an estimated 13+ crores in the Tamil language, pushing the total domestic gross collection to around 100 crores in the 5-day opening weekend. ## The Telugu version of the film, "Varasudu" did well on the opening day with approx. 5.40 crores and scored another 5.50+ crores gross on its second day for approx. 11 crores gross in two days. The Hindi version is also surprisingly doing well and has grossed approx. 4+ crores gross in three days.## Meanwhile, another Pongal release, Ajith Kumar's Thunivu is too doing well by holding well after the big opening day.
