The production house is reportedly set to release two of the most anticipated films of the decade within a span of just over a month. While the Yash-starrer Toxic is locked for August 26, 2026, trade circles are buzzing with speculation that Jana Nayagan is being planned for a July 23, 2026 theatrical debut. This aggressive scheduling marks a significant moment for the industry, particularly given the high stakes surrounding both projects. The journey of Jana Nayagan to the big screen has been marked by several complexities and delays. Originally, the film was scheduled for a massive theatrical release in January 2026, aiming to capitalize on the lucrative Pongal holiday window. However, the production faced a series of hurdles that pushed the timeline back by six months. Reports indicate that the delay was primarily caused by a prolonged standoff with the censor board (CBFC) and specific legal challenges that required significant time to resolve. These setbacks created a ripple effect in the trade, as distributors had already committed large sums of money that remained stuck during the period of uncertainty. While the film saw a decent second weekend, the transition into the work week has brought a significant decline in its collection momentum. On its 11th day, the movie earned a net of ₹2.65 Cr across India from 5,972 shows. This represents a 72.8% drop from the second Sunday net of ₹9.75 Cr, which is a fairly steep fall even by weekday standards for a big-budget ensemble film. With this addition, the total net collection in India has reached ₹117.55 Cr. When we look at the gross figures, the domestic total stands at ₹139.90 Cr. Internationally, early estimates indicate that the film added ₹0.50 Cr on its 11th day, bringing the total overseas gross to ₹30.45 Cr. According to data provided by Venky Box Office, the film earned $52K [approx ₹44L] in North America on Sunday, taking its total in that region to $1.09M [approx ₹9.07 Cr]. Collectively, the worldwide gross collection for Welcome To The Jungle now stands at ₹170.35 Cr. INOX saw nearly 3,400 tickets sold, bringing in roughly ₹7.4L across 730 shows at 2.4% occupancy. Cinepolis contributed around 1,600 tickets for a gross of about ₹3.4L from 433 shows with 1.8% occupancy. In total, these top three chains accounted for approximately 8,500 tickets and a gross of roughly ₹21.35L from about 2,000 shows, with an overall occupancy of around 2.22%.
