Stone Cold Steve Austin Says 'Never Say Never' When Asked About Having Another Match In WWE

Stone Cold Steve Austin is undeniably one of the biggest superstars in the wrestling industry, integral to the success of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE).## From his debut in 1989 to retirement in 2003, Steve Austin was a massive success for the company. In the WWF, Austin was repackaged as a short-tempered, brash, anti-establishment antihero named "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, becoming the most popular wrestler of the Attitude Era, fueled by his feud with company chairman Mr. McMahon.## He won multiple championships throughout his wrestling career. He famously won the WWF Championship six times and the WWF Intercontinental Championship twice.## Following his retirement from in-ring action, he made sporadic appearances and one-off returns to competition. His last match was against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 Night One in a No Holds Barred match, which he won with a Stone Cold Stunner. This marked his first wrestling match in WWE in over 19 years.## During a recent interview with ESPN, Steve Austin was asked about having another match in WWE. ## “I said I'd never get in a ring again unless all the stars aligned & for some reason, somehow, they all did. And at the age of 57, I headlined the first night of WrestleMania 38. I never thought I'd do that. If you'd have told me that when I retired in 2003, I'd have said, 'You're crazy.' So I'm not gonna sit here & say no to anything because you never say never in this crazy business of sports entertainment." ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Report: Stephanie McMahon And Triple H 'Not'Opposed' To A WWE Sale

After taking voluntary retirement in July 2022, Vince McMahon re-settled himself back to WWE as the Board of Directors with some reports suggesting that McMahon's return would a partial sale of WWE which ended up being untrue. ## It was made very clear in the meeting before SmackDown this week that Mr. McMahon’s return is not in a creative sense. There was a clear threat that no media rights deals could be placed without the majority shareholders' permission. This was very quick as Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation from WWE on Tuesday. Following her resignation, a report from Axios.com stated that she and Triple had “opposed” the idea of WWE being sold. ## Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio stated that Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are supportive of his decision, only to get rid of Vince as the majority shareholder of WWE. ## “Regarding the story out that Paul Levesque [Triple H] and Stephanie McMahon were against the idea of WWE being sold that was reported by Axios, we were told by someone close to both that ‘Levesque and Steph were not against selling. They were open to all possibilities. . . In many ways the company was guaranteed to be sold in some fashion in the fact that Vince McMahon’s shares had to be addressed. In that regard, some level of a sale was guaranteed.'” ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

United States Champion Theory Vs. Bobby Lashley Added To WWE Money In The Bank 2022

United States Champion Theory vs. Bobby Lashley is officially a match for Money In The Bank 2022. ## Fueled by fury, Lashley reemerged to blind Theory on the June 20th edition of WWE Raw and hit him with an earth-shattering Spear of retribution before going on to defeat Chad Gable, Otis and Theory himself in a Gauntlet Match to finally earn the right to challenge for the U.S. Title at WWE Money in the Bank. ## Check Out The Full Announcement From WWE: ## "The All Mighty is coming for Theory’s United States Championship at WWE Money in the Bank! ## Theory may be self-centered and selfie obsessed (and believe us, he is that), but Mr. McMahon’s hand-picked protégé is all business from bell to bell. He possesses a full arsenal and a win-at-any-cost attitude that has proved very effective since he captured the United States Title. ## Angering Bobby Lashley, however, is not wise no matter what kind of streak you’re enjoying. After refusing to give The All Mighty a title opportunity, Theory was quite literally kicked out of the ring with tremendous force by the former WWE Champion. ## When Lashley beat him in the first-ever Theory Invitational Pose-Down, the nefarious titleholder blinded his adversary by squirting lotion in his eyes and knocked him out of the ring with a dropkick. ## Fueled by fury, Lashley reemerged to blind Theory the following week and hit him with an earth-shattering Spear of retribution before going on to defeat Chad Gable, Otis and Theory himself in a Gauntlet Match to finally earn the right to challenge for the U.S. Title at WWE Money in the Bank. ## Don’t miss all the action of WWE Money in the Bank, Saturday, July 2, at 8 ET/5 PT, streaming live exclusively on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else." ## Also Check Out The Current Match Card Below: ## --WWE Raw Women's Championship: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Carmella ## --Men's Money in the Bank ladder match: Seth "Freakin" Rollins vs. Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Omos vs. Shinsuke Nakamura or Sami Zayn vs. three participants TBD ## --Women's Money in the Bank ladder match: Lacey Evans vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Liv Morgan vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Asuka vs. Aliyah or Shotzi vs. two participants TBD ## --WWE SmackDown Women's Championship: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Natalya ## --Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship: The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) (c) vs. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) ## --WWE United States Championship: Theory (c) vs. Bobby Lashley ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
