Los Angeles, February 27 - Paramount Pictures has emerged as the frontrunner to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery after Netflix officially decided not to raise its offer, effectively withdrawing from the high-stakes bidding war. The development marks a major turning point in what could become one of the most significant media mergers in recent Hollywood history. According to reports, Warner Bros. Discovery's board has deemed the revised Paramount-backed proposal, led by Skydance Media, as a "superior offer," triggering a limited window for Netflix to improve its bid. Netflix, however, chose not to counter, citing valuation concerns and deal economics that no longer aligned with its long-term strategy.
