After Sonu Sood who has been working tirelessly to send migrant workers to their hometown by arranging buses and flights, legendary Amitabh Bachchan has come forward to take the initiative further and helping migrant workers to reach their hometowns.## Big B has taken up the task of bringing the migrant workers of Uttar Pradesh to their homes who are stranded in Maharasthra states due to the lockdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic. So far, Big B has already arranged 10 buses to help to migrants to reach their homes in Uttar Pradesh. And now, Amitabh Bachchan has arranged 6 chartered flights to take migrants to their homes.## According to Big B's instructions, his company AB Corporation's MD, Rajesh Yadav has arranged 6 chartered flights and each flight will take 180 people to reach their homes in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi. More than 1050 people will be sent home by 6 flights. Two flights have been departed on Wednesday morning while one will take off in Afternoon.## Apart from arranging flights and buses for the migrants, Big B has been distributing nearly 4500 packets of cooked food daily in the different parts of Mumbai city.## Big B had also donated more than 20,000 PPE kits to the hospitals, police stations, and BMC offices along with masks and hand sanitizers. ## Stay tuned...

Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, who recently announced his next Tollywood movie entitled Sarkaru Vaari Paata with the Geetha Govindham director Parashuram for the first time, has got his lead lady for the film and its Keerthy Suresh.## On the actress's birthday today (October 17), the makers have announced the joining of the national award-winning actress from Mahanathi to play the leading lady role opposite Mahesh Babu for his next biggie. ## Earlier, there were some reports saying, Kiara Advani will be cast opposite the superstar for the second time after the blockbuster Bharat Ane Nenu, but now, the latest development dismissed her chances to be paired again with Mahesh Babu until his next.## "Mahesh Babu's next film doesn't require just a pretty face opposite him. Hence names like Pooja Hegde and Kiara Advani are out. Keerthy with her proven talent is being finalized for Sarkaaru Vaari Paata. The coronavirus pandemic has forced the makers to take the OTT route as theaters are closed indefinitely due to the pandemic and the lockdown. However, makers' new approach of going for the digital release instead of the conventional theatrical release has sparked a controversy between the film producers and theater owners. ## Recently, when Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo was announced for its digital premiere, the multiplex chain owners expressed their disappointment over the decision taken. Now, the director of the film Shoojit Sircar opened up about the issue and said that the theater owners are right in protesting but we have to move on as there is nothing personal.## In an interview with Firstpost, he said, “Their resentment is right, and that is why I never retaliated to what they felt. I just told them, ‘Yes, you have every right to protest. You have every right to feel uncomfortable because this film is releasing digitally. But there is nothing personal. You will find your way to run your business, and I will find a way to release my films.”## “The Producers’ Guild also sent a statement to theatre owners saying how will the producers move on. Unless they move on, and films get made, the films will not get projected in the theatre. But I will always say that both cinema halls and OTT are going to co-exist. Their resentment is absolutely right but this is not the end of the world. We have to move on,” he added. ## Gulabo Sitabo which stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time together is not the only movie that announced for the OTT release. Vidya Balan and Sanya Malhotra starrer 'Shakuntala Devi' too will release worldwide digitally. The national award-winning poet, lyricist, and screenwriter Javed Akhtar became the first Indian to be honored with the prestigious Richard Dawkins award. ## The 75-year old reacted to his win and told NDTV that it was surprising for him as he was not expecting this award for what he was speaking about the Indian political climate.## “I wasn’t sure that these people would know what I am saying, what I am writing, what I am speaking from different podiums. But thank you very much. Hollywood actor Johnny Depp raised his voice on the death of George Floyd and said that it is time to fight against the 'racism and Judgmental ugliness' and says it is no longer an option to make sense of what is senseless. ## The 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' star took to his Instagram handle to post a message along with a video of an American rapper, actor, activist Killer Mike on the death of a black man George Floyd by a policeman, Derek Chauvin which resulted in the unrest in the US to stand with solidarity with the Black Community. ## Depp wrote, "As the majority of American people, our global community and our extended family of humans helplessly watched a man die on television… I too, was exposed to the atrocity of blatant barbarism, ruthless cruelty, and unmitigated lack of humanity,” he said.## “A handcuffed man, pleading for his life lay prone with the full weight of a man sworn to defend the peace on his neck. The victim of this heinous act of cowardice, George Floyd, told the officers that he could not breathe. As he called for his dead mother, how could our collective hearts not break as his face was ground and mashed firmly into the pavement by those sworn to protect him, and all of us?
