Actor Vishal's First 100 Crore-Grosser 'Mark Antony' Sets Streaming Date On Amazon Prime Video

Chennai, October 10 - Actor Vishal and SJ Suryah's science fiction action comedy film Mark Antony has set its post-theatrical streaming date on Amazon Prime Video. The film, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, will start streaming on October 13, four weeks after the theatrical release, in Tamil and Telugu. ## "Mark Antony" has had an excellent run so far in theatres. It is the first ever film for actor Vishal to gross 100 crores or more at the worldwide box office. In 25 days so far, the movie has scored approximately 102 crores worldwide which includes 83 crores at the domestic box office and around 19 crores overseas. ## Produced by Mini Studio, the movie is about two gangsters, Mark and Antony who acquire a mobile phone that has the ability to time travel. It offers a blend of action, humour, and drama, and it received a positive response from both critics and audiences.## "Mark Antony" boasts an impressive ensemble cast, which also includes Ritu Varma, Sunil, Selvaraghavan, Abhinaya, Redin Kingsley, and YG Mahendran in key roles. Vishal and SJ Suryah's 'Mark Antony' Crosses Historic 100 Crores At The Worldwide Box Office

Chennai, October 2 - Tamil actor Vishal and SJ Suryah's science fiction action comedy film Mark Antony has emerged as a surprise blockbuster at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office as it crosses the 100 crores mark. ## "Mark Antony" crossed the 100 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office on its 18th day. The movie currently stands at around 100.25 crores gross, including 19 crores overseas collection. Vishal, who was going through a lean phase with back-to-back flops, scored his first 100 crores movie ever.## Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the movie has scored approximately 60.50 crores in Tamil Nadu, followed by approximately 9.50 crores in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), 6.25 crores in Karnataka, and around 4 crores in Kerala. ## The movie was carrying low buzz before the trailer release but after the trailer release, the buzz increased before the movie received positive reviews from critics as well as favourable audience word of mouth. Vishal's film with Adhik Ravichandran titled 'Mark Antony'

Chennai, Jan 2 (IANS) Actor Vishal's much-awaited action entertainer that is to be directed by director Adhik Ravichandran has been titled 'Mark Antony'.## Taking to social media, Vishal said, 'Here is the Explosive Title Look of #V33. #MarkAntony".## The film, Vishal disclosed, would be a pan-Indian action film that would be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.## The actor also said that shooting for the film would commence in February this year.## Only a few hours before announcing the title of the film, the makers had disclosed that actor S.J. Vishal's new film Chakra to release on May 1

Chennai, March 6 (IANS) Tamil star Vishal's first release of 2020 is going to be 'Chakra', which will hit screens on May 1.## Directed by MS Anandan, 'Chakra' also stars Shraddha Srinath and Regina Cassandra. The pictures from the film were released recently, and it seemed to show Vishal and Shraddha in intense avatars. The pictures taken in a police station suggest that they will be playing sincere individuals, who are on a mission to unlock a mystery. It is said to be a cyber-crime thriller.## In November 2019, the title and the first look posters were released by filmmaker Gautham Menon on his social media handle.## Speaking to Times Of India, director Anandan shared how he pitched the film to Vishal "I was so nervous the night before meeting him. It was a big opportunity for me, and I didn't want to waste it. But the way Vishal treated me boosted my confidence. He quietly listened to the whole story and didn't even take a coffee break in-between'. He said, "The story is good and the characterizations are strong. Don't change anything for me." He believes in the script and doesn't believe in promoting the hero and downgrading the villain. I think both of them have to be equally strong if the face-off sequences have to come out well." Shraddha Srinath said "When I shot my opening sequence, I was so nervous. I thought it would look unnatural for me to do stunts. I was wondering if I was even physically fit to do it. But Anbariv masters were so good. I've seen the edited scene, and I''m so excited to see the film for my own action sequence!"## The team had completed a schedule in Coimbatore then in Chennai. "Chakra" is said to have Vishal playing the role of an army officer. The music of the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Balasubramaniem.
