Report: The King & Queen Of The Ring Set To Return As Standalone WWE Premium Live Event

WWE is bringing back a historic event, The King & Queen of the Ring is scheduled to return on May 25th as its own Premium Live Event (PLE) in Saudi Arabia. ## This news comes from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. It follows a previous announcement for the event's return in May 2023, which was later scrapped in favor of Night of Champions. ## The King of the Ring tournament hasn't been featured as a standalone PLE since 2002. However, WWE has held sporadic tournaments over the years, with Xavier Woods claiming the crown in 2021. That same year also saw the inaugural Queen's Crown Tournament, won by Zelina Vega. ## While official confirmation from WWE is pending, this exciting addition to the 2024 PLE calendar adds to the international flair with upcoming events planned for France, Scotland, and Germany. ## Stay tuned for further details as they become available. ##

Zayn responds in kind with his own Helluva Kick for a near fall. He charges for another one, but Gunther cuts him off with a clothesline and a devastating powerbomb. Gunther attempts a second powerbomb to pin Zayn, but only manages another near fall. ## Gunther targets Sami Zayn's wife with insults, then brutalizes him with slaps, chops, kicks, and a chokehold.
