The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, among others in prominent characters.## Recently, some pictures from the sets of Ramayana were leaked online which excited the fans and now, the excitement has gone over the roof with the leaked pictures of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the roles of Ram and Sita. ## Zoom TV shared some of the pictures on social media. In the images, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi can be seen wearing the clothes of a prince and a princess. Mumbai, April 12 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana is shaping up to be a global phenomenon with every development around it. In India, the film is already a hot topic with its casting along with Kannada superstar Yash coming on board to co-produce and starring in it. ## Producer Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus is working day and night to make Ramayana a global force and according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the filmmaker is in talks with Hollywood studio Warner Bros. Pictures to take the movie to worldwide audiences. ## "The deal (with Warner Bros.) is being negotiated not just to get monetary support for the project but also to ensure collaboration with the right partners on the distribution and marketing front in international markets up to the film’s release. Mumbai, April 12 - Kannada superstar and producer, Yash has officially joined director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana. The actor-filmmaker's Monster Mind Creations will co-produce with Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios to bring this epic to global audiences. ## The upcoming adaptation of Ramayana is touted to be a dream project, not just for the talent involved but for Indian cinema overall. Apart from co-producing the film, which will be turned into a trilogy, Yash is also playing one of the main roles. ## Yash said in a statement (via Variety), "It has been my long-term aspiration to make films that will showcase Indian cinema on a global level. In pursuit of that, I was in L.A. to ally with one of the best VFX studios, and to my amazement, the driving force behind it was a fellow Indian. Namit and I had various ideation sessions, and coincidentally, our synergy on the vision for Indian cinema aligned perfectly".## "We brainstormed various projects, and during these discussions, the subject of ‘Ramayana’ came up. Mumbai, February 5 - Kannada superstar Yash soared to nationwide popularity after the mega-blockbuster KGF film franchise and after one-and-a-half-year, he recently announced his next film which is Toxic with Malayalam director Geethu Mohandas.## Now, according to a report by Pinkvilla, the makers have approached Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for a key extended role. "It's an author-backed role and not one of those just added for a gimmick. There is a proper track for the character which has been offered to SRK, and the makers are hoping to have him on board", says the report. ## Shah Rukh Khan is on top of his game at the moment with three back-to-back big successes last year in which the actor grossed over 2600 crores at the worldwide box office with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. The actor hasn't given his node yet for the role in Toxic but the makers are hopeful for the same. ## As reported earlier, SRK was also approached for director Lokesh Kanagaraj's film with superstar Rajinikanth but de declined the offer. Mumbai, February 4 - The countdown begins for the shoot commencement of Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor-led epic Ramayana, potentially the biggest Indian film in the making. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the three-part film features Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram alongside Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, among others. ## The pre-production work on Ramayana has been going on for a long time and now, the makers are set to take the movie on floors in March this year. According to a report by TOI, the first schedule of the film will take in Mumbai for around 60 days in which Ranbir and Sai Pallavi will be shooting for their portions. ## After the Mumbai schedule, the team will head to London for another around 60 days of filming. Superstar Yash will join Ranbir in the London schedule, however, the former will shoot for around 15-20 days as he will have an extended appearance as Lankesh in the first part of Ramayana. ## The second and third parts of Ramayana will mainly focus on Yash's Raavan and Sunny Deol's Hanuman along with Ranbir and Pallavi. Meanwhile, it is said that Ranbir has willingly renounced alcohol and non-vegetarian food as his intention is to feel as pure as lord Ram in this epic saga. ## Apart from the aforementioned actors, the makers have roped in Lara Dutta to play the role of Kaikeyi while the talks are in an advanced stage with Vijay Sethupathi to play Vibhishana.
