Box Office: Brahmastra Storms Past 400 Crores Worldwide
Mumbai, September 26 - The Astras continue to light up the Bollywood box office!## Director Ayan Mukerji's fantasy action adventure Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has crossed the 400 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office, becoming the first Bollywood movie since Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's War to achieve the milestone. ## The Ranbir Kapoor-fronted film reached the landmark box office figure on its 17th day, after scoring over 6 crores on its 3rd Sunday. With this, the movie has also crossed 250 crores net in India and again becomes the highest-grossing Bollywood movie domestically, outscoring The Kashmir Files. ## The current box office figures of the film stand at Rs. 253 crores net, and approx. Rs. 402 crores worldwide gross.## Brahmastra is the 15th Bollywood movie of all time and is the second for Ranbir Kapoor after "Sanju" and the first for Alia Bhatt to reach 400 crores gross worldwide. Overall, Brahmastra is the 22nd Indian movie to achieve this milestone. The last movie to get there was Kamal Haasan's "Vikram", which was released in June this year.## Produced by Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios, the movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy in prominent roles along with Nagarjuna Akkineni and Shah Rukh Khan in cameos.## Drawing inspiration from stories in Hindu mythology, the film follows Shiva, an orphan with pyrokinetic powers who discovers that he is an Astra, a weapon of enormous energy.
