Mumbai, September 25 - Tumbbad re-release has had a rock solid day at the box office on its second Tuesday where collection remained in the range of 1 crore net. With this, it has become the highest-grossing re-release title at the Indian box office. ## The folk horror thriller has scored approximately 22.75 crores net (27 crores gross) in 12 days, surpassing Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli which minted approximately 26 crores gross to become the biggest repeat grosser in India. ## The total worldwide collection of Tumbbad is approximately 43 crore gross, including the original collection of 16 crores and the re-release total of 27 crores gross. Mumbai, September 24 - After finishing as a flop in its original run, folk horror thriller Tumbbad has turned things around big time in its re-release run to not only emerge a box office hit but also become the biggest re-release grosser at the Indian box office.## Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, Tumbbad has been on a fantastic repeat run since its re-launch on September 13. The movie hasn't dropped below the 1 crore mark in 11 days so far while in its original run, it crossed the 1 crore mark only two times before finishing its run with a 13.50 crore net collection. ## In 11 days of its re-release so far, Tumbbad has grossed approximately 25.75 crores (21.75 crores net) and sometime during its 12th day, it will cross Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli (26 crores gross approx.) to become the biggest re-release grosser in India in the 21st century. ## As said, Tumbbad and Ghill are the only two movies to cross the 20 crore gross mark in their repeat runs at the Indian box office. Mumbai, September 23 - Aamir Khan's production venture Laapataa Ladies has been picked as India's official entry for the Oscars 2025, the Film Federation of India announced on Monday. ## The comedy-drama film, directed by Kiran Rao, tells the story of two young newly-wed brides who get exchanged during a train ride to their husband's homes. It stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan, in key roles.## Laapataa Ladies was released on March 1st this year amid positive critical reception. The movie did decently at the box office, grossing approximately 27.50 crores worldwide before emerging as a big success on streaming with over 17 million views.## The 13-member select committee headed by Assamese director Jahnu Barua unanimously decided on Laapataa Ladies as India's Oscars 2025 entry. 'Race 4' Story Will Continue From 'Race 2'

Mumbai, September 20 - The fourth instalment of the action thriller franchise Race is in the making with the shoot scheduled to begin early next year. Saif Ali Khan will make his comeback to the franchise in Race 4 with Sidharth Malhotra joining him this time. ## In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, writer of Race 4, Shiraz Ahmed, who also penned the first three films of the franchise, shared details about the upcoming movie. He has confirmed that Race 4 will go on floors in January 2025. ## Shiraz also confirmed that Sidharth Malhotra's casting is locked with Saif Ali Khan and the rest of the cast will be revealed by the producers Tips Films at the right time in a proper announcement. Box Office: 'Tumbbad' Re-Release Fifth Day (5th Day) Collection

Mumbai, September 17 - After the very good opening weekend, the folk horror thriller Tumbbad re-release is showing fantastic hold during the weekdays. The first Monday collection of the movie was higher than its opening day and now there is another solid hold on Tuesday. ## The Rahi Anil Barve's directorial film, on its 5th day, scored approximately 1.60 crores net collection which is similar to the opening day figure. This first Tuesday re-release collection of the movie pushed the total to around 10.50 crores after 5 days. ## Tumbbad has been one of the most-anticipated Bollywood re-releases in recent times and the makers also promoted it accordingly which is reaping rich dividends to them. As said, it needs just 3 crores more to outgross the original run of 13.50 crores net. ## The re-release is expected to be around its original collection after the first week which is a big achievement to crack. 'Love Today' Hindi Remake Gets A Release Date

Mumbai, September 17 - Superstar Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan and late Sridevi's daughter Khushi Kapoor are set to make their big screen debut with the untitled romantic comedy which is said to be the Hindi remake of Love Today, one of the biggest Tamil hits of 2022. ## The film, directed by Advait Chandan, has been confirmed to hit the big screens on February 7, 2025. It is produced by Phantom Studios in association with AGS Entertainment which also produced the original movie. ## While the official title is yet not announced, it is said that the movie has been titled Loveyapa, named after a term that can be used to describe the combination of love and siyappa. Sunny Deol's 'Border 2' Shoot To Begin On November 25 In Jammu and Kashmir

Mumbai, September 17 - The Sunny Deol-fronted epic war movie Border 2 recently confirmed actors Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh on board to play the pivotal roles. The hugely-anticipated sequel will be directed by Anurag Singh and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and JP Dutta joining hands to produce it. ## The pre-production work on Border 2 has been going on for the last year and now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, the movie is set to start rolling by November 25. It is said that director Anurag Singh and his team are all set to start the recce for the film within a week, and the first two locations they have zeroed down on are Jammu and Srinagar. ## The movie will be shot in real locations in and around the special armed forces areas near the borders of India to give a rustic feel to the film. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make a high-octane and at the same time, an authentic war movie that can make the audience proud and celebrate the legacy of the first movie. ## Border 2 will be shot over 6 months till May 2025 as the movie announced for January 23, 2026, release during the Republic Day weekend. Box Office: 'Tumbbad' Re-Release Fourth Day Collection

Mumbai, September 17 - The folk horror thriller Tumbbad is heading towards emerging as a big success story in its re-release run at the domestic box office after not getting much return in its original run 6 years ago despite the critical acclaim.## Upon re-release on September 13, the Rahi Anil Barve's directorial film had a very good opening weekend with approximately 7.25 crores net which is almost 225% more than the film's original run first-weekend collection of 3.25 crores net.## The superb weekend almost ensured that the film would do well during the weekdays and come the first Monday, it performed better than expected to score higher collection than the first day (Friday). On its 4th day, Tumbbad scored approximately 1.75 crores net collection, around a 40% drop from Sunday and a 10% jump from Friday. ## The movie's total collection after 4 days is approximately 9 crores net and is now just 4.50 crores away from outgrossing its lifetime original run collection of 13.50 crores net. Looking at the trend, Tumbbad re-release is expected to do around its original lifetime business in the first week. ## Tumbbad was a box office flop when it was released in 2018 but after 6 years, it is having a verdict-changing re-release run. Sanjay Leela Bhansali Locks Non-Theatrical Deals For Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal's 'Love and War'

Mumbai, September 16 - Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is gearing up to commence the shoot of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal-fronted Love and War this October while the movie is scheduled for March 20, 2026, release. ## Love & War is easily one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies and is attracting eyeballs with its phenomenal casting. Now, ahead of the shoot commencement, SLB has locked non-theatrical deals for this epic tale of romance set against the backdrop of war. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, SLB will be funding the movie apart from directing it despite the lucrative offers from studios. It is said that the production cost is expected to be around 200 crores (excluding talent fees) which will be funded by Bhansali. ## The maverick filmmaker has signed a post-theatrical streaming deal with Netflix with some terms and conditions. The report states that the base price for the deal with Netflix is Rs 130 crore, with the scope to go bigger depending on the box-office performance. ## Apart from streaming, SLB has sold music rights to Saregama for 35 crores, whereas the talks are going on for a satellite deal with a leading network in the vicinity of Rs 50 crore. Tamil Star Suriya Approached For Dhoom 4?

Mumbai, September 16 - It has been more than a decade since Yash Raj Films' Dhoom 3 was released and despite the official announcement of the next instalment many moons back, there hasn't been any progress towards the same. ## Over the last few months, the chatter around Dhoom 4 has been making rounds on social media and there is a buzz that YRF has sped up things regarding the same. It is said that Aditya Chopra is actively working alongside Ayan Mukerji, Vijay Krishna Acharya and Sridhar Raghavan to bring the film sooner than later.## Meanwhile, a new rumour has emerged regarding the casting of the film while we still await the official words from the studio.
